 The friction grip holds the neck of the extinguisher securely enough. I just wish I hadn't wasted time with the strap. The important thing (for me) about fire extinguishers is : Can I remember where they are? Can I get to them when I need to? Can I get it activated quickly? And will it extinguish? I haven't had an opportunity to test that, and here's hoping I never have to.

The first one I received wasn't fully charged. Customer service was very helpful tho and sent me a replacement extinguisher which was perfect.

  At first I thought they may be too small, but there is plenty in these! A few sprays goes a longggg way. I will be repurchasing another one.  TIP: I will also hang a mask on it as well to use at the same time if I ever need to use it again in the future. When you put out the fire with this the smoke gets 10x worse (at least on fabrics), plus the chemical dust

 I bought these because he has been unpredictable and who knows what could happen!  Tonight he caught his couch on fire and these had just arrived yesterday (I bought two - one for each floor). God? Luck? Who knows.  They work! The fire department still came out and even though these say rechargeable they said to toss it and buy another one. Needless to say, this was the best $42 I have spent in the last 48 hours

 There is also a mounting bracket that comes with it if you want to mount it on a wall.  It is a good idea to have at least 1 fire extinguisher in the home. Life happens. Be prepared

  They used their heat sensing camers and determined that the fire had not burned long enough  to damage anything other than the electrical  receptacal.

Recent (Thursday May 7th,2020) I used  a 5lb, class ABC dry chemical First Alert fire extinguisher,  to extinguish an electrical fire  that was just starting, in my home. The electrical receptacal, was being used to supply electricity to my in home Security/Fire alarm system.   After having used approximatel;y half of the extinguishing agent , I had the fire  put out. During this time my wife had called 911, and several fire trucks from the local municipal fire dept began to arive at my home

This is the model I’ve bought and used and would recommend; but whether this specific model or the next, HAVE ONE IN YOUR KITCHEN! I’ve worked as a cook in years past and am still an avid home cook, but accidents happen. It’s happened to me 3 times at home over the past 10 years; a pan/oil fire…  It’s terrifying how quick cooking oil goes up, and could EASILY cause a structure fire within 2 minutes.  2 of the 3 times, I had a lid on and and quickly snuffed out the flames… that third time is the reason I’m buying a couple more of these.

You NEED an extinguisher in your kitchen at the vary least.
