 My biggest complaint is the mount that is included is a cheap plastic one that will only work for a wall mount in a stationery place. Since this went in my mobile food trailer I had to purchase a separate metal mount that has a metal clasp to secure the extinguisher in place during transit. That mount was very pricey. About $30 on Amazon but it does work well

 The first one I received was partially emptied during shipping leading to an unpleasant unboxing experience. Got a replacement that was packaged better and double boxed without issue. After recently hearing about 2 different families who had their RVs catch fire, I ordered these. We always keep 3 small extinguishers in our RV, but after hearing that both of these families had no chance in putting our the fires with their small extinguishers, we decided we needed to get ourself some larger extinguishers, so that maybe we would have a chance saving the rig should it catch on fire.  The extinguishers arrived in a sturdy box, and both extinguishers were in their own very sturdy box. With the very sturdy packaging, I was surprised that one of the extinguishers did not have the grey Plastic safety seal, as it had broken off

 A little more jostling and it could have fallen out completely and let the extinguisher discharge. I can totally see why people are receiving these already discharged.  In my case I don't have a code reason to need a true tamper seal so I just secured the ring with thread (strong enough to avoid the pin's self-eject tendency but weak enough to break when someone pulls it).

Mount Easily on My Patio Post

I've purchased multiple units of this excellent fire extinguisher. Unfortunately, Amerex quality control regarding packaging is lacking. They've forgotten to include the wall mount in the box on more than one occasion. Returning this heavy item due to a missing wall hook is quite a pain

 version for your home use and buying one of these. It's a few dollars more, but it will be well worth it. You never know how large the fire will be if something ignites. You may as well have the extra peace of mind

  When the time came to replace my home extinguisher, I knew I was going with Amerex. While I've never actually used this B402 (thankfully!), I can attest to the build quality being just as solid as the larger B456. Being the B456's little brother, I expect the B402 to work just as well if the time ever comes where I'll need it as it's constructed with the same internal brass valve. Other manufacturers use a plastic valve that can grow brittle and break with time, which can not only affect how powerful the chemical sprays but can cause the extinguisher to fail altogether (I'm looking at you, Kidde!)

 Simply put, any time I've used an Amerex, it has never let me down. Everything from the nuisance cigarette butt in mulch to the bigger forklift fires have all been extinguished handily.  When the time came to replace my home extinguisher, I knew I was going with Amerex. While I've never actually used this B402 (thankfully!), I can attest to the build quality being just as solid as the larger B456

 You never know how large the fire will be if something ignites. You may as well have the extra peace of mind.

If you want a quality extinguisher, buy an Amerex.

 I work near a small airport where there are rental car agencies who run a collective car wash area. A few weeks ago, someone at the car wash had a 50 gallon container of rags setting on top of an extension cord and the container caught on fire when the cord shorted. The guy then poured a 2 gallon bucket of Windex into the container, attempting to put the fire out. The Windex only made it burn worse

I would highly recommend having one of these available - they work

 Got out alive but with 3rd degree burns. Get one at least this size and you might have a fighting chance. Also a metal valve assembly is a must. It won't break like cheap plastic ones when you are in panic mode

 Mine imploded within 2 minutes. Blew the windows in and the extra oxygen causes a flash over. While you are here go buy some new fire alarms. Great product!
