 This means that my tea is only submerged in just a little bit of water, which defeats the purpose of using the basket instead of an infuser. Unfortunately, the medium model is too short and the large model is too wide to accommodate this style of mug (or any tall mug, since you'd have to add too much water to a necessarily wide diameter mug to get the best submergence--too much water for proper brewing of a regular amount of tea).  So the medium model isn't tall enough and the large model is too wide for use with smaller stainless steel mugs like this. Rot

I found the Large like a few others really large. And the medium will fit most of our mugs better. I wasn't looking to use these just for teas but also spice balls too. So larger is ok but not as useful as the medium

 Make a small version and I'd be back for it. My intentions are to take them when we backpack and camp too but that's where I realize a small would be so much nicer. For the individual cup of the medium or small if it exists is probably a better fit for most mugs.  Update: This brand makes a TRAVEL one of these that is a bit smaller

After trying fancier gadgets, this is now my most used tea item

 Less of those pesky occasional drops to wipe around the cup area with the Finum.  I do not recommend the balls with chain, or the two piece spoon like infusers. Besides being a pain to clean, your tea leaves will not properly expand and taste will be affected.  Thus, although I’m a freak for great design, and a designer myself, function over form wins out this time
