*Do it through the Home app first.*. **Side Note 3**: A separate issue I think I was fighting against was that I had rekeyed the deadbolt myself right before installing the smart lock. It appears that the lock is very sensitive to the locked and unlocked orientations of the lock cylinder spindle (the metal bar that the adapter goes onto). In my case, I was able to fix this by tightening the heck out of the locknut on the back of the deadbolt's lock cylinder.

It has a fingerprint sensor which works really well, plus built-in wifi so you don't need any kind of hub. Can also use a key in case of power loss or other emergencies. One downside is it's pretty large and not the most stylish of locks but it does everything I was looking for.

I love the features and the design of the eufy Touch front door wi-fi smart lock (the version they sold through Best Buy that didn't need a separate bridge, and had a Li-Ion 10Ah battery rather than 4xAA batteries)... ... but I don't like too much the eufy Security ecosystem because it doesn't interact too well with Home Assistant. What do you recommend?

Fingerprint is good but not always read at very first time. Secondly i have set auto lock at 1 minute but it is not doing it , it is auto locking at 3 minute.

So it's just the usual then. Smart Lock has been buggy forever. I remember often it would think I was still at home, and would be unlocked at restaurants or work. It's total crap. Ironic when Google's forte is tracking you all the time
