 Unfortunately, the tops of the characters in some text lines were offset slightly from the bottom, most likely because of two sweeps of the printhead not being precisely aligned. The issue cropped up so rarely in my tests that it shouldn't be a problem for typical business use, but if you need absolutely top-tier text, even an occasional glitch can ruin the effect.

Problem 2 weeks

 It's big and noisy, compared to previous home office printers I've had. I can't comment on the question of economy, as I've only had to replace one starter ink cartridge so far.

 The wi-fi set-up didn't go smoothly, and I had to contact customer service for help. The agent was patient and did solve the problem, which turned out to be that the printer had mysteriously changed its IP address. Fine for a week or so, then it stopped printing, and it turned out that the IP address had changed again! I redid the set-up, but when the IP address changed a 3rd time I abandoned wi-fi and connected the printer via a USB cord, which has so far worked all right.  Other problems: Paper jams easily

The printer-head cleaning process consumed excessive ink, depleting the reservoirs too quickly in my estimation

Easy to set-up on my iMac

 The first printer was still covered under the manufacturers warranty and the second printer was covered under the exceptional warranty through Amazon. The second printer was covered under that extended warranty so when I purchased my third printer I also purchased the extended warranty. Epson customer service is as bad as ever and I would not have purchased an Epson printer but for the two warranties. You cannot speak to an on-shore agent and the people you talk to have a tight script they adhere to

 The wireless feature has never given me trouble. My printer is only connected by WiFi and to 2 computers and household tablets. The ink replacement is somewhat expensive but I never had problems with bad cartridges or low print quality.

More recently I would have lowered it to 4 stars because it is discontinued and it uses obsolete cartridges as opposed to the supertank refills. When I run the printer nozzle self-test periodically, the printout leaves the same missing lines. The printer nozzle cleaning does nothing to change the missing lines

Great printer overall but stopped working after 2 years

 But I just wonder when I'm going to have to go through the hassle of cleaning again. I've got my eye on a Brother to replace it, or maybe bite the bullet and go with a color laser all-in-one. It has great wireless connectivity, that's a plus. And set-up was a breeze

 Tried a few fixes of my own, no luck. I knew this was one that Epson support would not have no clue. So I contacted the warranty company. Couple of emails, sign a document and my $179

So-So printer. Good for under $100.

 It printed the document with no problem and on both sides. I’m not going to stand for this garbage anymore. My Epson is going to be switched out soon.  EDIT 2/17 I'm currently printing some black and white docs

 Absolutely ridiculous. I'm trying to do a high-volume job here. You know, the kind of job that this printer advertises?  The other thing I noticed was the ink yield. You think you’re really going to get 350 color prints out of a cartridge? You’re dead wrong

 40 pages. I bought this printer because the ink yield was supposed to be amongst the best. This is utter nonsense. Bear in mind I'm trying to print high-quality images here, but that really should not have such an exaggerated impact on the yield

.. The ink I had before is useless now. The cartridges are nearly identical, but it has a piece of plastic that juts out and blocks you from inserting it into a newer model
