  For example the instructions do not clearly state that the USB cable is used for the scanning process.  It jumps from connecting the USB cable to installing the software where a WIFI connection is required.  Instructions should clearly state that either the USB cable or the WIFI can be used for the scanning process.  By jumping from connecting the USB to saying a WIFI connection is needed and then jumping to scanning a document, it could be assumed that the WIFI is required for the scanning process

Woefully Poor Instructions

As a home office user with decent tech skills, I cannot connect via wireless because the only bandwidth Epson ES-60 Scanner can connect is the 2.4 ghz and my Xfinity broadband with the Xfinity dual modem/router has an auto setting and the Xfinity tools won't allow the home user to “disable” the 5 ghz band so as to interfere with the scanner setup. I am going to work on it but I wish I had known this before I bought this scanner. I should have just bought the ES-50

Good value but...

Great idea but poor performance

 you first use their wifi and it’ll disconnect after awhile and reconnecting is a pain. once you scan it, you turn back on the ipad wifi and then go to google photo for upload. using their own app is a pain. ended up using google’s photo scan

 It seems that the scanner can be configured for wireless use only when connected via cable, and it can only remember one network at a time. Meaning if you want to use the scanner at home and the office, you'll need to connect via USB and reconfigure it to each wireless network with each transition. For a scanner boasting portability, this seems like a missed opportunity to shine and makes its use a bit more tedious than I'd prefer.  

 This is a bit inconvenient, but easily overcome. Upon downloading and installing the software, I was met with a wireless configuration process that was not exactly straightforward. It seems that the scanner can be configured for wireless use only when connected via cable, and it can only remember one network at a time. From the moment I opened the packaging, I was stunned with the size of this scanner. It's sleek and compact - I could easily imagine throwing it in my backpack while traveling for work, at a conference or trade show or the like without added bulk. It's wireless connectivity, though it leaves some to be desired (discussed further below) even eliminates the need for packing a cable.

As far as speed and quality is concerned it gives you all the option to edit and combined many pages into one and have all collaboration options to share through email etc. Also, speed to scan a page is really fast. overall i would say good scanner with for daily use.

recently got this scanner for my daily office and personal use. though with little initial hiccup i was able to figure out and use it efficiently. Bit confusing the On/Off button and not able to detect and connect the 5G wifi network. Luckily i had 2G Wifi network too so was able to configure and connect but if you have only 5G then you may have trouble making it work

Also after initial setup when i tried to scan some pages it just scanned as black page but after switching off and then switched ON again and then it worked perfectly fine. Just a precauiton that if it doesn't work for the first time then don't worry switch off and then switch on and it may work for you as well
