**EQD Avalanche Run V2**: I got this after selling my Timeline and Bigsky that I'd had for a few years. I was so tired of just jumping between presets and each song feeling like a totally different palette. It was just hard to get consistency between tones between songs. Simplifying that into a single pedal felt like a breathe of fresh air.

An expression pedal really opens up sonic worlds here. I use this regularly with synth band dot com. The reverb is fine, but the delay is exceptional, largely because of the smart UI leading to great UX. Easily assignable exp. Easily switchable tap intervals. Bypass and tap aren’t too close together...

This is an awesome pedal! I have a Strymon Blue Sky but I find myself using the Avalanche Run much more frequently because it's so much more versatile. It's really cool to plug a mic into into to get insanely cool vocal effects. It's just a blast to use and the possibilities are endless. 5 stars!

I don't know your situation but the V2 is going for $299 on sweetwater brand new, even cheaper used on reverb (that is if you want to spend a little extra on the V2). You can take the extra money and get an expression pedal, or a chorus like the Corona from TC Electronics to stack with it. I'm happy with the sounds I've gotten with that. As for the Walrus pedal, I don't have any experience with it, so I can't say with certainty how it stacks up, I'm just saying I have good experiences with the Avalanche Run.

I'm an ambient musician and my most useful pedals are my Walrus Audio Slö, EarthQuaker Devices Avalanche Run, and Electro-harmonix Superego. I'd say the Slö is best for pads and full on ambient verby goodness, but the Avalanche Run gives you some delay too. You also get swells and reverse delay sounds.

I'd really like to upgrade my delay pedal, perhaps an EarthQuaker Devices Avalanche Run V2 or something with reverse delay.

You ought to get an expression pedal for the Avalanche Run! That pedal truly becomes a one of a kind monster with it. I think it's the best thing they make by far.
