 You could be equally at home putting a very technical binding on this, or more of a hybrid like a Shift, a Kingpin, or a Duke PT, and just be as happy both in and out of bounds on a ski like this. Definitely lighter than its full on downhill brethren, but with more of that backcountry and touring skiing in mind. As a result, more geared towards advanced and expert skiers who spend more of their time in the backcountry doing adventure skiing, who need something that has the lightweight but still the downhill capabilities that this ski does have. Very well rounded ski, if you're looking for that hybrid frontside, backcountry oriented ski, this is a fantastic option

 They do use basalt in the ski as well to add to the energy of it in a downhill format. About 99 millimeters underfoot, great overall shape for touring as well as resort skiing. Pretty good floater for its width, not a lot of jutting out dramatic taper, but a pretty long and smooth rocker profile for this ski. Pretty moderate to upper end splay on that tip there

It's not like a free ride backcountry ski, not a whole lot of backwards freestyle applications to this, definitely focusing more on that downhill directional ski performance. Pretty darn light, Dynastar is claiming 1,400 grams per ski in the shorter length, not the 186. But this 186 here does generate a 22 meter turn radius, so it is a pretty straighter cut, happy to go fast, happy to take a straight aggressive line down the mountain, and pretty stiff through the tail thanks to that additional material here over the tail

 We've got a Dynastar M-Tour 99 for you today.

 This ski is unchanged from last year, really is a fantastic option for those skiers that

 spend most of their time in the backcountry, but also still want that performance that

 So this thing shares a lot of similar shapes with the M-Pro 99, a little bit different

 So they use their Pallonia hybrid wood core.

 So that central cord of the ski is made from a lightweight Pallonia wood, and then they

 use a polyurethane material on the sides, extending in from the sidewall further than

 So that material gives the ski just an incredible amount of stability and smoothness, isn't

 terribly heavy, but is very damp as well.

 The ski does not get the titanal rocket frame that the M-Pro gets, it still has that shaping

 So there is additional material in there.

 Hey everyone, it's Brad from BackcountrySkiingCanada.com and today we're going to talk about the M-Tour 99 Skis.

 This ski right here. It's also available on an 87 underfoot version.

 So Dynastar took what they perfected in their Freeride Mythic Skis and applied it to the new M-Range Skis

 which include the M-Free, M-Pro and of course the M-Tour Skis which we're here to talk about today.

 All of these use Dynastar's hybrid core technologies with a different composition for each ski depending on the performance objectives.

 So the M-Pro, it uses a hybrid core with poplar and a full layer of titanal.

 The M-Free uses a poplar PU hybrid core with fiberglass torsion box reinforcements.

 This is a lighter all-mountain touring ski.

 And then the M-Tour ski, it uses a polonial PU hybrid core with basalt fiber V2 reinforcement layer.

 The polonium is a lighter wood, makes a lighter ski.
