What shoe staples and styles should every woman have?
The range here is big from shoes with chunky soles and delicate ones, pointed toe or round one, with buckles and without, patent leather or matte, or suede. The choice depends more on your wife's style. My favorite black ones are laced oxford masculine type [Vagabond again the older version and Dr. Martens 1461 for casual wear.

Not what I expected
The toe box for this pair, is like that narrow round toe and NOT the round toe. Basically looks like a men’s dress shoe for work. Not like the unisex doc look. Need to be broken in- leather is quite rigid
This shows is presently extreme means uncomfortable to wear. Hopefully will improve when fully broken in - but do be prepared for blisters -. have had Doc Martens before and they have been fine - just don’t recall this much discomfort

Very sturdy shoes!
I had a previous pair of basic Dr. Marten oxfords that were made of synthetic leather, and they were quite comfortable and broke in very quickly.
