DJI Pocket 2

Now we were only able to get our hands on the basic kit for the dji pocket 2, but it has this really nice option.

Looks like a nice step up from the Retroid Pocket 2. I am addicted to Android gaming & emulation and been looking for something a step up that's not a full $700+ gaming phone in a grip.

Good video and audio quality, mobile app is adequate. I did have encountered that Pocket 2 turned dark and only iphone showed the image - no good. The worst design to me is the magnetic wide lens. Very durable, I've dropped it more than once in the 5 years I've had it, and it still works fine. My DJI Pocket 2 is also very handy and as the name suggests, pocketable.

I love my GoPro for rough outdoor use or for underwater work, but for stuff like city trips, I MUCH prefer the Osmo Pocket (2). Not saying the quality of GoPro's footage is bad, but the gimbal of the Pocket can pull off some really cool stuff the GoPro can't. You can of course fit a gimbal to your GoPro, but the form factor is quite a bit larger then compared to the Pocket which has in in-built gimbal.

I expected more from DJI. The video quality is awesome and the features are great as well. The downfall is the ease of use. Switching modes such as between using the thumb joystick to control pan and tilt to controlling zoom is a bit of a PITA. Especially in bright light. The screen is small and dif...

But then it outperforms most camera phones with ease because its lens and sensor are much bigger, so that respect it's much better than a phone gimbal, and has much better sound options. I have found my Pocket 2 to be super useful in capturing things that happen on the fly and when I don't wish to be walking around with anything bigger than I can put in my pocket. If I had one complaint, it would be the screen.

I like everything new about the Pocket 2. The case is better. Better add-on features. Everything works like it should. Full frame is too big for through hiking unless you are seriously doing it for photography more than anything else in the world, though of course on a section it could be fine.... It all depends what you're trying to do. If you find your main goal is to record yourself WHILE hiking there are cool new cameras like the DJI pocket 2 (has extension that supports mics) or of course GoPro9.
