 So I'm gonna play the same reeds twice. First time I'm gonna play it with the drop pillow let's say two semitones below the E standard and second time I'm gonna play it with the guitar, so tune in standard D Let's see if you guys are gonna be able to hear the difference. I'm a bass player who was growing tired of relearning songs/fingerings when the singer's larynx felt fat (i.e., they wanted to lower the song a step or two to make it easier to sing). I was also looking for a device that could allow me to play as low as B, so I didn't have to bring 5-strings to gigs (I primarily play 4 string)

 The warble isn't as pronounced as the Mooer, but still annoying. For what this box costs, I was not at all satisfied with the performance for my application and felt other options worked much better. I ended up keeping the EH Pitch-Fork as the best option for me.

 But beyond, say, a few half-steps down, the drop box would start to mis-track and warble. The mis-track manifests as bloops and blops in the attack of the note. The warble isn't as pronounced as the Mooer, but still annoying. For what this box costs, I was not at all satisfied with the performance for my application and felt other options worked much better

Easy route is to get is to get a baritone guitar or a 7 string guitar, but would ideally like a 6 string guitar with a floyd rose (not common in baritone guitars).  About the main thing I have learned researching is that the scale length should be longer than 25.5", but I am still unsure on what to choose that would not require hardware modifications. Any suggestions or tips? Thanks!

[QUESTION] New guitar for B Standard Tuning

Overall this pedal does what it advertises and does a pretty decent job keeping sound quality as you drop tunings. I keep my guitar tuned standard and really don’t drop below C#. For the pleasure of home playing and jumping between songs that are tuned differently it works great. If you only have one guitar and it has a locking nut, you’ll love this pedal

 One thing you need to remember is that your guitar and the pedal will be at different pitches and you’ll be surprised how much volume you need to overpower the sound of your strings. Even the slightest sound of your strings breaking through the amp will throw you off.

 I run a Digitech GSP1101 through a messa head’s FXloop. The GSP has a Pitch Shifter but it’s garbage compared to what this pedal will do running straight in front of the amp input. One thing you need to remember is that your guitar and the pedal will be at different pitches and you’ll be surprised how much volume you need to overpower the sound of your strings. Even the slightest sound of your strings breaking through the amp will throw you off

 It's only when you're in a reamping situation where you can actually look at the latency and it is barely barely there. Nothing to get in a twist about whatsoever. Now, as far as the tone of the pedal, it does affect your tone, but in a very musical way. I don't know how to describe it

I understand that both the guitar (and its pickups) and the amp your playing on are like 2 halves of a whole and both are important, but which one has more effect on the tone your getting or crafting?

Hopefully me getting more specific can help someone here guide me. So Id say Im definitely more a novice than most people here, Ive been playing guitar a few years, I only own a couple ibanez guitars, both under $1000, and Ive been playing on a decent audio setup on my computer running neural DSP (so im playing on a digital amp interface software, not a tube amp or a solid state), Im more or less a bedroom shredder, Im not going out and playing live shows or anything at this point, yet.

So heres where my question comes in. I really just play progressive and metal music and have been wanting to buy a 7 string because the benefits in comparison to playing 6 strings. I find it a little annoying to switch tunings constantly, especially in metal because almost all bands play in different tunings from eachother or they play on 7 string guitars, so its less accessible playing everything I want on my 6 string ibanez guitar.

Been looking to buy either a Kiesel headless guitar or a Strandberg headless guitar. I dont love the look of a headless guitar, but id like to get one because theres lots and lots of positives to them in comparison to tradition guitars (so no hate if you think theyre ugly, although id like to know if you have any other reasons not to get one). Anyways, both have solid reviews for different guitar models Ive been looking at, but overall Kiesel is cheaper but the pickups arent great, while Strandberg sounds better but will probably cost me between $2500-$3000 USD, which is significantly more than if I go with a kiesel

So, if Im playing on a digital amp interface, does the guitar matter as much for the sounds Im getting?

Also would love to hear from people here that own or play on Kiesel or Strandberg guitars and opinions about my situation

 right when you hit the pedal, and then when you go into momentary mode, it's on until you hold it and then off when you let go. In fact, you can see the light a little better. And then the other interesting thing about that is if you start with it on and then switch into momentary mode, then it's on until you press it and then it's off
