For PC I use denon sb-550 and before I've had jbl bar 5.1. From the mentioned already, I suggest sn8yg in Your price range, or try the sony ht-s40r. It's really impressive, although, it works generally only with basic Dolby Digital and PCM stereo sound and upmixes the content.
