EASY TO CLEAN

Some customers noted that the rotating blade generates a lot of torque when it runs and that the plastic bottom of the blade is characterized by some. Some buyers is weak and the resulting effect is that the blade assembly sometimes tore out of its own bottom. Now more than just a few customers have this experience

 I have not attempted any of the hard foods I originally intended this for, as I am still working on finding the most efficient way to get my standard smoothie made, without a mess, and get out the door, but it does seem like it will be powerful enough (using pulse option).

 I'd say it is still decent for a "cheap" blender, but if I were to do it again I would probably look at some other options again. It would make more sense to just get a decent blender and buy separate, quality travel cups, since I'm not using the ones that came with this blender for actual blending anyways.  Look how beautiful that got! Really snowy and perfect: you notice it only took seconds. This blender is really versatile. I'M just going to take the blade off the bottom, so I can show you I'm going to make a shake, but first, what I'm going to do is I'm going to use the 8 ounce chopping cup going to drop it in and this happens to be whole Flax seed - this is really hard to chop. Now

 You also get the 8 ounce chopping cup, with the special chopping blade, and that also comes with a cover. So after you're done chopping, your flaxseed or nuts, you can take off the chopping blade mechanism and put the cover on for storing. The other thing I want to mention too is this: is accented with stainless steel? Has touchpad controls, high-low and pulse there? You have it. This is the cuisinart compact, portable blender

 * It comes with only one regular blending blade (plus one for making nut butter, which so far has not been useful for anything). I didn't think that was enough regular blending blades for all the jars, since once the blade is dirty I needed to wait for it to go through the dishwasher to be able to blend anything else. So I ordered two additional blades from Cuisinart. Additional blades cost $24 each, so with shipping charges I spent $57 on additional blades

 That is expensive, but I feel that it adds a lot of usefulness to a high-quality blender, so I feel it was a worthwhile purchase. But at $57, it nearly doubled the price that I paid for this blender. Instead of the nut butter blade, I wish this blender came with two regular blades and the nut-butter blade was an optional accessory that you could buy at extra cost.  Overall: ======== Overall I am very happy with this blender

 (The Ninja Pulse makes you press down on something the whole time that it is going, which I dislike.) * I think it is quieter than the Ninja Pulse -- though blending hard items such as nuts or dates is loud in any blender. * The blade is crazy-sharp, so blended items end up very smooth. Just be careful when handling the blade -- I have cut myself while washing it

Excellent blender, but not durable.

I have had it about a year now using it primarily for green smoothie type drinks for lunch when garden veggies are fresh or I have a supply of good veggies & fruits to use so it is not used even weekly by any means. Each time the battle below goes on for a few days until I ultimately give up & put it all back on the shelf to make other lunch choices for a few months before dragging it out & trying again. It is without a doubt the loudest blender, quite possibly the loudest piece if kitchen equipment we've ever had-whatever ear protection you choose better be high quality if you want to have any hearing left after use! It only works marginally well. The smoothie ingredients I use are already chopped & pre measured by the time we get this far & I add even more juice than any recipe suggests to compensate when I wish to add a bit of protein powder but the thing must be constantly babied---start --it does a little--stop--unplug--stir-- plug in--start again--repeated numerous times for 1 smoothie

 The harder it is to turn the bearing, the more load on the motor and the faster it burns out. I locked up two cutting lids before realizing that the high heat of the dishwasher degrades the bearing seal and allows water into the bearing.  Another tip to prolong the life is to use the pulse to start until the hard or frozen items are out of the way. It will chop ice but I wouldn't do it everyday

Works Great.. Just Not Forever

If you use a lot of FROZEN ingredients, you'll have issues with this. Which means, if you're like me and you tend to overfill your blender cup and not follow directions, you'll have problems with this. Which means you'll need to use the large blender that comes with it which means you should probably just buy a blender.  However, if you don't overfill your blender cup and don't make SHAKES when you are trying to make SMOOTHIES, then you'll do fine with this thing and probably love it

Not Very Powerful, But Pretty Good

This blender is about what you’d expect from a small blender. Not super powerful, but it is super loud. I like it because of the travel cups and I can make separate smoothies for me and my spouse. However my biggest issue is that the bottom of the blades seem to leak into the blender base and I’ve only used it a handful of times

 They love this. All of us use this set for light blending. It is small, easy to use, ect, without the big blender production. We blend multiple times a day so this is significant for us

Oh Joy! Yes, I am glad I still have the blender. The kids enjoy it, I have learned to use it within its limits, and it is a very good nut and seed grinder.

 You have to be careful to start with low pulse, then high pulse then low blend and finally up to high blend. Once on high blend stand close and if you smell heat shut it off. If it gets to hot it turns it self off automatically, so, it doesn't just stop working altogether. And, its fun

 However, my children really do like it. They will let me put a green base in their cups and then they can finish personalizing their smoothie. They love this. All of us use this set for light blending
