 This is a great machine, especially for the price compared to other machines. You get a bigger bowl, you get the splash guard with pour spouts, you get a 500 watt. Motor 12 speeds stand mixer for the price of entry-level ones and other brands. Overall, we think this is a great Buy

 Or I mean you get what I say well enough about riddles and let's get back to it and then once you have it in then you twist to lock it in place and if you notice it also has a spring in our testing. All the accessories worked. Well, we did not have to use a scraper or spatula to remove any ingredients from the bowl. Let'S go ahead and test it out with this dry, tough whole-wheat, bread recipe and what we're gon na do we're gon na double the amount from our whole-wheat video recipe

 You can really tell the difference of a 500 watt motor [ Music ]. We really like how the ball was big enough to store all three accessories and using the splash guard. You can actually keep everything in one place, so it makes it very easy and comfortable to store, because the last thing you want is moving a 27 pound newborn baby around. Overall

 We get the actual splash guard and the pour spout, and you can only install it one way you want to place the u-shape hole in the middle towards the machine, and then you want to twist it. So you could place the pour spout. The plastic itself doesn't feel that strong, but for the use is meant for it should do fine. You just want to avoid dropping it in any ceramic or hardwood floor

 So the Kitchenaid is better designed in this area. The Cuisinart is lighter overall so might vibrate a bit more. The heavier Kitchenaid is slightly more stable when mixing. (However, the motor on my new Cuisinart mixer is quieter than the motor on my 15 year old Kitchenaid

 The higher power 600W motor on the Cuisinart makes a difference. I have a grain mill mixer attachment. It uses quite a bit of power to grind grains into flour. On the Kitchenaid, 300W is not enough

  The speed control knob is poor: ------------------------------ From an ergonomics perspective, I generally recommend knobs over sliders for variable controls. For example, light dimmers, volume controls, fan speed, etc. In the case of these mixers, I have found that it's the opposite: A lever is better than a knob. On the Kitchenaid, the speed control is a lever and it's sensibly placed so that the slider is frontback, making it relatively easy to operate

 The heavier Kitchenaid is slightly more stable when mixing. (However, the motor on my new Cuisinart mixer is quieter than the motor on my 15 year old Kitchenaid.)  The Good: ------------ The front of the unit looks better on the Cuisinart. The Battlestar Galactica Centurion cyclops looking magnetic cover that sits in front of the attachment connection is cleaner on the Cuisinart than the Kitchenaid's protruding cylinder

An engineer's review: It's mixed (pun intended). Decent mixer with poor ergonomics.

 So it looks pretty big it'll. Do i like it? My husband did a great job, all righty, so i want to test it out and make sure it works. Now i like to send it back, but i attached the whisk already, so i'm gon na just put it down, and these are the splash guards. So it's not spilling everywhere

.  Overall, I can not recommend this mixer, and kind of want to return it. If I could do it over again, I would have spent more and gotten the "other one".

 Both hands at once. So--what are you supposed to do with the dripping spatula while performing this maneuver?! That's right. You either have to set it down, or risk dripping all over the mixer head as you lift it up with the spatula in your hand. And guess what? You'll have to perform that same 2-handed trick to return to mixing position

Could be so much better....

 The whisk is hand wash only the mixing paddle dough hook and splash guard or top rack dishwasher, safe and the bowl is dishwasher safe. Of course, you can hand wash everything on the bowl, don't use steel wool or a wire brush. The unit can be wiped down with a damp cloth and dried, so the mixer overall did a good job on the whipped cream, the cookie dough and the pizza dough. I find that the dial is very easy to use

 Four [ Applause, ] [, Music, ], the butter and sugar have been creamed nicely now I'll use b3 to add my two eggs one at a time and vanilla extract [, Music, ], we'll scrape down the bowl. Once I put the eggs in, I see that they're sort of subtle to the middle. They haven't really been incorporated into the butter, so you do have to scrape this down. Now I speed to all I'd my flour mixture, I'm using two cups of flour: [ Music ] - I'm going to take the boring shield out because it's not that much room to add the flower and it would just take too long if you're gon na do it Very gently: [, Music, ], [, Music, ], [, Music, ], now we'll add the chocolate chips and use speed, three to mix it in [, Applause, ] and that's good

 It makes sure it's foamy. So now, I'm gon na add three cups of flour with one and a half teaspoon salt and a tablespoon of oil. We'Ll go up to speed three until the dough forms: a ball: [ Applause, ], [, Music, ], [ Applause, ], [, Music, ], [ Applause, ], [, Music, ], [ Applause, ], [, Music, ], [ Applause, ], [, Music, ], [ Applause ]. So I did notice that the head of the mixture was wobbling up and down a little bit while it was mixing the dough [ Music ]

 This is the on/off speed, control dial with 12 speeds. There'S a blue ring that lights up when the mixture is on, remove the point cover on the head and you can connect attachments like a meat, grinder or pasta maker use. This locking screw to put the attachments on the plate goes right back in pull the head. Push down the lever in the back to tilt the head up and it will lock push down the lever again to put the head down it: locks by itself a five and a half quart stainless steel bowl with a handle

Beautiful and sturdy, but it doesn’t mix throughly, it doesn’t reach ingredients in the bottom of the bowl. Kinda disappointment considering the price…

Pretty but a little disappointed

  Oh yes, I did try the more familiar-named mixer because my sister and several friends each had two of this brand's mixers. But after whipping evaporated milk twice for an ice-cream recipe, it started clicking on low speed and the higher I turned up the speed, the louder and more unbearable the clicking/knocking noise got. After returning it, I have been searching for a mixer that I could use to mix evaporated milk, make chocolate chip cookie dough, and bread dough. Frustrated, I read reviews and details on almost every mixer on Amazon and could not find one with all the features that I enjoyed on the first mixer and I did not want to spend over $400

 While the mixer was mixing bread, my husband walked by and asked, "Is it running?", he was just kidding as he could see it was running, but that was his way of saying it was not loud like "my other" mixer. I'm not sure if all Cuisinart mixers are this quiet, but mine purrs and does not remind me of a steam engine locomotive. So let me review the pros and con:  PROS: The mixer was packed well and came in perfect condition. Cuisinart's mixers are very streamline and shorter than my last mixer of comparable watts, bowl size, and features

 It is made of metal and of good quality. Found it very easy to use after reading the instructions before setting up. This mixer has a 3-year warranty compared to 1-year on the previous mixer. The attachments that I hurriedly bought for the "other mixer" fit my Cuisinart perfectly--what a nice surprise

 The "other mixer' came with a flex-edge paddle and glad it did because the flat paddle did no better than the flat paddle from Cuisinart. If a customer has arthritis as I do, it is very desirable to have the beater scrape down the sides and not suffer pain each time one has to scrape the dough/batter together for thorough mixing. Please bring this to Cuisinart's attention and I see no reason why Cuisinart couldn't become the best selling stand mixer available and replace that "other one". I would be happy to give 5 stars as soon as I have better incorporating beaters that reach all the ingredients, especially the flex-edge beater
