 Worth it, in my opinion :-) I plan to test the macro lens on my S7 Edge soon, so I may change this review slightly to reflect that. It's about $90 cheaper than the "official" Samsung camera lens attachment case, so, there's that already ;)  UPDATE/EDIT: There's just too much vignette with the Galaxy S7 Edge camera to be usable. So, works better on some devices than on others.

 I would spend the extra money on a wide angle lens with a lens hood (or recessed) or you could make one for this particular lens, if you're crafty.  THINGS TO APPRECIATE:  1) You get 3 lenses made out of metal housings 2) You get plastic caps for both ends of the lenses 3) It's universal and will work with practically any smartphone  CONS:  1) Two of the 3 lenses had bad distortion around the edges, but if you zoom in with the fisheye lens, it gets better. 2) The universal mount moves at the slightest touch. I felt that laying it over to touch the top of the phone gave me the most control  It gets three stars because for under $20, you can get better glass and a cheaper kit actually beat this one out in all my tests

I bought several lens kits to try and this is the first one I am reviewing. Overall, I am very content with this set. I'm a professional photographer that, by accident, found out there was a market for this and wanted to see what it was all about. All photos were taken with an iPhone 5S inside my home

Good for the Macro Lens...

 The fish eye lens ended up cracking and the wide view has tons of scratches on it just from that one night, so it's a real pain because now I can't use it.  The microphotography lens isn't as great as I thought it would be. It actually zooms in too much, like similar to an eyeclops. For instance, I expected to take cool photos of flowers with raindrops on them with this lens, but if I did it would come out blurry

It is only clear when I get to the length of the petal, similar to the size of a dime. So practically, you can take photos of a dime but not a dollar bill

I generally like the lens, but it has its flaws.  The wide view and the fish eye are a great filter type aspect of them that makes regular phone photos look cool, but they can get really blurry and make a photo worse by putting them on. In addition, it's difficult to put on and away safe and quickly. On the Fourth of July I was taking photos of fireworks, and it started pouring rain

 Keep in mind it's really dark outside, so I was running to the car and being driven home. Since it's rude to have a car light on when driving to other cars I had to try and put it away in the dark, looking for the covers and trying not to get the lens soaking wet. The fish eye lens ended up cracking and the wide view has tons of scratches on it just from that one night, so it's a real pain because now I can't use it.  The microphotography lens isn't as great as I thought it would be

There is also a fair amount of glare in daylight, moreso than with other wide lenses that I've used previously.  the macro lens however is truly amazing. the pictures taken are a close up of a flower you can see how clear they are. the only thing that I didn't like about the macro lens is that in order to get it this clear I practically have to put the lens on the item and get it super close (if not touching) the item itself which makes it a bit annoying but since I'm no expert so I'm guessing that's how it works in general. overall it's an okay item for the price I paid and will be using the macro lens a lot

when I read the reviews and saw the pictures by other users I expected more of these lenses however, I realized I should have believed the reviews that said that the macro lens was the best out of the whole package. here are some pictures with the three lenses with the same view before and after. as you can see the wide view and fisheye were not as clear but still good. I was disappointed because of the quality I thought it would be way clearer or at least less blurry

 You would think quality control would be better than that. My guess is that somebody didn't want to get in trouble and just threw it in or didn't really check. When your trying to get the fish eye or wide lens it is really hard because of that off center, so to make the picture look right you have to compromise.

These are pretty cool IMO. I got these mostly for the macro as I intend to use it to take pictures of jewelry hallmarks and imperfections. I however have also enjoyed the other lenses as well since I got this. I keep them in my fanny pack actually

For the price this is an alright lens kit. However the wide angle really distorts the images so they are not usable. The macro does focus on more detail but you have to be so so close to the object you’re basically touching it. If it’s just for fun then this kit might work for you as it’s nicely packed together and quick on and off with the clamp (alignment can be tricky)
