. So in order to check, if it’s actually is an improvement, it was time for a long-term review. I’ve been using these pedals for almost a year now, as a secondary set. Coming close to 4300km used them twice in a bike park ( where mallets are actually a better choice, ) and participated in 6 XC races

 With the high-end titanium model, the 11 cranking the prices also all the way to eleven.. The 3 is at a more acceptable € 135 retail., While the retail price of the Crankbrothers 3 is € 135

 That much lower, as is the case with the pedals., Even though reliability has improved these - are still high maintenance costs and it’s definitely cheaper to run XT pedals. What I consider a competitor in this price range., I would have also mentioned Time ATAC as an alternative for reliability, but recently they aren’t what they used to be

. The weight difference for being an entry pedal is negligible, weighing only 10 grams. More than the Eggbeater 3. Main selling points for the Eggbeaters are the weight and mud-shedding capabilities

I want to buy my first drop bar bike this year (Canyon Grail 7 when it comes out) and I'm not sure which clipless pedals to pick for it. I'm looking at the following ones at the moment:

\- Crankbrothers Eggbeater 3  
\- Look X-Track Race (was thinking about the carbon version but 40€ more for 20g... not sure)  
\- Shimano XT PD-M8100  
\- Ritchey Comp XC

Do you have experience with any of these pedals? Other recommendations?

I'm still a beginner when it comes to clipless pedals. I put cheap hybrid pedals on my current bike (cheap trekking bike) and I really like the feeling of being one with the bike but I already had some really stupid fall-over situations because I forgot to clip out. So maybe a pedal that doesn't take much force to clip out might be good? (That's the main reason why I'm thinking about Eggbeaters)

Clipless pedals for gravel riding?

Good performance, worried about the durability.

 If you mark, if you put the right cleat on the left, shoe you actually will achieve a 20 degree before the shoe comes unclipped, i'm going to apply just a little bit of grease to the thread, so they don't seize up in there. Crank brothers recommends that you grease these threads before you install the cleats. So let's go ahead and let's put a little bit of grease on them now, whenever you're doing this, don't tighten them up until you're ready just get both the screws put in place. Get that grease on there, because you're gon na have to hold the cleat in place with uh

 So currently, as you guys know, i'm i'm running five. Tens here are my cleats. They are pretty wore out it's to the point where, when i pull up at all on my pedals, they are popping out so it's time to replace the cleats. So let's go ahead and let's get these taken off of both of my shoes here, a little sticker, a little crank brother sticker, not bad i'll, probably put that on one of my cups and then some instructions which the instructions consist of use

 How long i've had these things? They still look pretty stinking good for as much use and abuse as they've gotten. I would expect them to be very, very damaged now this one. On the other hand, it's just that thing that separation. I can't believe this thing didn't come apart on me

 They don't last longer than any other brand. You can't compare with shimano, but I love the design and the mud-shedding capabilities. The eggbeater 3 are the best option in terms of value-for-money as they have 2 bearings each pedal, the old version had only one bearing and one bushing. old versions would endure for 2, max 3 years, I hope that this last longer
