 I Was pleasantly surprised with how much power you get out of these fins. Along with that, you get an awesome neoprene lining that lines the inside of the fin and allows for a much more comfortable fit. Although the rubber is not made in Malaysia anymore, these are not Chinese made fins, but I can guarantee you there are as good as they used to be. These fins give quite a long life with a reduced number of them breaking at the vulnerable points

I'm really stoked with how Churchill have come back with a rubber that works and that the customers really enjoy. Now a lot of you guys have been asking me online if it's worth buying these fins and I must say they're extremely strong, extremely powerful, and the new rubber that they are using out of China is really as good as the old one

 so these fins would feel really good in the hand. Although these are all black and you can see ins, there is a change in density and the two materials. the top is a lot softer, allowing your foot to be comfortable and feel really padded within the fin while the bottom allows for a rigid, harder blade which allows for power and control when you're doing moves on the web. I have been looking at fins recently as the arrival of my new board gets closer. So far I have been looking at symmetrical fins like the ms vipers. My budget is around £50 ($70). My worries were about the weight of some fins and if they can be got in the UK.

Thoughts on fins.

  I got the Makapuu figuring they would be similar fit to the slashers, but no. The foot pocket is not as contoured. Even though they fit snug on land I kicked out of them in the water. I'm going to try them again with booties and leashes

My old ones finally died of rubber-rot after many years of fine service. These new ones are very stiff and, to me, uncomfortable to put on and wear, even though I bought extra large fins for my size 10 feet.   Cons: Not an exact size, either 1/2" too large or too small depending on type of wear. Needs a small toe drain. If you take them off in the water and carry by the heel strap you'll carry them virtually full of water. The rubber seems to "attract" sand to the inside that almost never leaves

Returning the product for the correct size (size profile listed on box) was otherwise simple through amazon. I ordered a second pair as well, but was given the wrong size
