This pack is well designed however after spending 7 days in Zion NP I can comment on the quality of this pack is poor if not embarrassing. I hiked with a osprey hydration pack and saw this pack on someone in the Narrows ordered it and once I saw that this pack should be under $85 not $155 ..

Subpar quality at a premium price ... look at other options

 There are just two slide in pockets on this side and I love that they're doing a zipper closed pocket on this side. That's a perfect place to keep my phone. I just like to have my phone easy to access for photos or videos or anything of the sort, so I love that pocket on the hip belt. Again, you can't feel anything against your hips when this is on because of the dual wing system

 Now as you can see, when I tighten this down, the inner strap is tight against my body, but it allows for me to still have things in the outer pockets while keeping the hip belt tight and comfortable up against my skin. So that's definitely one of the most amazing features about this pack is just how comfortable and secure it feels throughout the day. Whether you're heading out for a two-hour hike or an all-day hike, it's going to be comfortable no matter how much stuff you pack into this pack. There's also an adjustable sternum strap and so you can really get that fit dialed in no matter your size or for me

 This is an awesome expander pocket just have on the outside of your pack in case you need to throw a jacket or anything of the sorts there. Like I said, I really like the comfort of the hip felt, but I also love how Camelback is putting pockets on the hip belt. There are just two slide in pockets on this side and I love that they're doing a zipper closed pocket on this side. That's a perfect place to keep my phone

The Fourteener 26 Hydration Pack by CamelBak [Review]

 I like the waist strap portion because it keeps your phone and other high reach items at easy access. The water pack is detachable and easy to clean. it honestly works just like regular back pack, and if it weren't for the spout, I would honestly think it was a regular backpack. The fabric and stitching is very well done

 I Always always want the dual zipper straps. We're going to take this out really quick here and look at how big this pocket is. This is your main compartment. You also have a zippered interior pocket up here

 It's good having extra things like that, but there you have it, That is an awesome pack. It's one of the better day packs I've seen and I did a hike with it recently and it was felt very very comfortable. A lot of adjustments for your shoulders, the shoulder straps, the hip belt, the dual wing hip belt I Really like this pack and I recommend it. Are you deep baggers? You day hikers and even some of you alter lighters

 it's firm so I will kind of form to your back and this appears being kind of waterproof through here. There is also the external way to carry the trekking poles and I checked this. A lot of people thought that this see this right here. There's a little looks like for a water bottle and people were kind of confused why there's water bottle pouch here and not on the other side and it turns up because it's not for a water bottle, it's for your trekking poles so you put that inside here and then you can take this outside loop here and that goes there

Love the easy access to my phone for navigating/communicating/etc, and the other pouch is roomy enough to hold multiple snacks for easy access. There's an easy access stash pocket on the outside of the pack that holds plenty, easily fits food/essentials/rolled up jacket/etc. There's on side pocket for water bottles that's easy access while wearing the pack

 The should and hip staps have a little bit of cushion to them, but not much, but heavy padding there isn't necessary for a 14er purpose as you shouldn't be bogged down in weight, just the essentials.   This pack is VERY comfortable. It has 4 thick cushion pads that go against your upper and lower back which help minimize pack fatigue and also open up a VERY GENEROUS amount of air flow space between you and the pack. The cushion pads are even ribbed and covered in mesh to increase air flow. This pack will perform among the best of them in helping to wick moisture off your back while working up a sweat

CAMELBAK KNOWS WHAT THEY'RE DOING

 This is perfect for carrying a water bottle. If you need additional hydration or trekking poles, you can put handles down of a trekking pole in here, tips up, and fasten it with a bungee right here if You like the more traditional trekking pole carrier route, you've got a tool loop here and a bungee attachment up top. You've got on this guy, a large pocket on the front of a large overflow. so you've got the ability to stuff in cargo from the outside of the pack

 The first thing is that the piece of webbing that attaches the outer and inner belt is a single piece of webbing and it's got a side release buckle on the front of the front of the pack here and that basically slides in and out through the webbing. So you get mechanical advantage. A321 When you're pulling the waist belt or the compression forward and it really gets good weight transfer onto your hips. The other thing we focused on was cargo on the waist belt, so on one side you've got a stretch woven with open top pockets allows for easy access and things like a phone, snacks, gloves, that kind of thing, on the other side, a large zippered access more secure pocket for enough snacks for the entire day, a beanie, gloves, bandanna, etc

 so it's good weight transfer and then comfort so no hard edges or molded plastic parts. just rounded soft 3d air mesh over dual density foams. The other area we focused on was the belt. We're calling this the dual wing belt

 The main compartment though is large enough to hold supplies for day hiking and is nicely proportioned. Inside of the main compartment are two mesh holding areas on the rear fabric wall for items that you may need to reach for quickly such as wallet and keys. There is an outer slip pocket of fine material for stashing items you may need to grab without opening the pack. The fabric of the pack itself borders on heavy duty and the small zippers seem reliable with the appropriate reinforced pull tabs applied to them

Promises: The manufacturer claims that the Air Support Back Panel is designed with body mapping technology to ventilate areas of the body that generate the most heat while keeping the load close to your body for increased stability. In addition there is a dual wing belt with cargo inner belt which transfers weight to hips while outer belt compresses cargo and offers additional storage. The adjustable sternum strap offers a range of adjustments for a custom fit and increased stability

Excellent Hydration Pack

 The weight of this pack is two pounds, four point eight ounces. To show you the other side, this is an internal frame pack. The frame is made out of corrugated polypropylene and it's also their Envy Is system so it's got great ventilation so you don't get all sweaty when you're doing them high mountains. It has a padded hip belt and it works

 This is their their overflow pocket and it has compression straps. and I've got my dry duck's rain jacket in there that fits down in there. Really, really good. Also this compartment here we have a lot of storage and it has a lot of different compartments so you can store your various gear you know? I've just got some odds and ends in here just to show you all the things you can stuff this thing with if you really want it to

Hello everybody Tom here a few weeks ago Sierra Trading Post sent me a great new day pack. It's the fourteener from Camelbak and I Really like this pack and I just want to share it with you guys and show you some of the great features on the 14 or from Camelbak I've been using the 14 err on day hikes for the last few weeks. the pack has worked out excellent. I would HIGHLY highly recommend this pack for anybody going out from day hikes to even simple overnighters

 insect repellent, sunscreen, spoon, hand sanitizer, I kind of stuff. we'll all fit down into the inside there. and I've always got my bears bear with me. we're out hey hiking

Review of the CAMELBAK Fourteener

 Lastly, the two hip belts have easy to access storage for small items with an open top elastic pocket on the right and a zippered pocket on the left. 

The main compartment is a zippered top loader that is roomy enough for all the gear you'd need for a day hike. It has several pockets for sub-organization. Between the main compartment and your back is another zippered compartment that houses the 3L water bladder. This compartment is one of my favorite features, as it has extra layers of padding/insulation and is big enough not just for a large bladder but also food/drink/etc that you may want to keep cool or better protected

This pack is very well designed for strenuous day hikes, such as (as the name implies) hiking a 14er. It strikes just the right balance between useful features and light weight. 

At the end of the day, you want a pack that's comfortable, lightweight, and holds all your gear in easily accessible locations. This pack checked all those boxes for me. I plan to use this as my go-to pack for bagging 14ers this season.
