I’m just starting out snowboarding and wondering what boards I should start out on!
- Snowboard models do yearly updates just like cars do. Last year's model is always cheaper, even if it has identical specs. After trying out a few boards, reading some online guides, and probably a lot of overthinking, I ended up with the Burton Instigator. It's worked well for helping me learn the basics and gives me a lot of control.

What board would you buy if you were me?
To put it briefly: you get the best of all conditions. Going back to the Instigator rather than its profile: This is more of a beginner's board in my opinion. It's very soft, even moreso if you're coming from a Burton Custom, and the directional aspect is to appeal to the idea that directional boards are a bit easier to maneuver when it comes to turn initiation.

I'm still a beginner, but I decided to buy the full setup as renting everything everytime won't definitely be a good choice. I'm stuck at the board selection. This is the beginner board: Men's Burton Instigator Flat Top Snowboard.
