They’re nice and all but nothing could possess me into wearing AJ1’s up a mountain. A solid pair of Gore-tex would probably cost as much as a few pairs of reps.

Trail Runners for warm weather. Gore Tex boots for winter snow. I have a pair of unlined boots that I got for super cheap years ago for cold weather but no snow but I almost never wear them.

I just wear Gore-Tex aka GTX lined shoes. These are waterproof and more importantly breathable made by tons of brands in tons of styles.

Military winter sleeping bags are very good value for money, the US modular version is black so it looks ok and is very versatile. I use this and a gore Tex liner in the winter in Finland down to -10 to -15

I have a pair of the waterproof Gore-Tex ones and they are fully waterproof and super warm/comfortable.

Nicely done. Switch to snow tires and don on a Gore-Tex coat - you will be good to go for the winter!

A gore Tex jacket, fleece and a down puffy jacket. The gore Tex keeps the wind and rain out, the fleece dries quickly if you wear it and get sweaty and the down jacket is really warm, light and easy to pack.

And maybe best one at least for me was Burtons Gore-tex gloves because when taken into consideration all features and price in the end (they were about $75) and were better than some more expensive gloves so all in all these were great, dexterity not as Black Diamond but there surprised me on how good they are. They are waterproofed and have heat/ventilation pocket so that is good and they were also touchscreen friendly so those are all great pluses that usually only expensive models have. That is why these were my best choice.

Merino wool base layers and Gore Tex shells. Here in Montréal, they clear the bike paths before the streets to keep the many winter cyclists safely off of the roads and out of the way of cars.
