 If I had a choice I would still purchase based on the design but I would probably pay more for some added comfort. Cold water wasnt an issue but more so tiny pressurized streams.

Does the job but comes at a cost...

This is likely a problem mores on on elongated toilets with deep toilet seat screw hole points. I've never had an issue with adjusting myself to ensure the spray hits correctly on other bidets. Generally you have to move forward slightly and adjust yourself, which is fine since there's room to move.  This is the only model where I actually had to move _backwards_ because the angle of the spray was so acute

 While thin and sleek, this lends a little to a flimsy feeling of the plastic. This is a trade off of course. See the photo of the Genie Bidet I removed. It was not as sleek, but felt a bit more sturdy

 We purchased 4 of these Brondell Simple Spas for our new home being built. I replaced the Genie Bidet with one of these in our current master water closet. Here is my thoughts on this model vs. a few others like the Genie we have used in the past

 It seems to splash up and on the back of the bidet and seat. Especially when using a bit more powerful spray. Can’t even turn it up to full speed, as it’s quite direct with a pinpoint spray. Others we’ve had were a bit less focused, thus providing a gentler cleaning, and less splash

How is it that few of us in the USA have bidets?

 This is ok, but therefore it is better to have an elongated toilet with this bidet as it allows for more room to move your bottom a little bit and get a better wash. I originally installed this on a round toilet and it made things a little more difficult spatially. I since needed to change toilets and reinstalled it on an elongated toilet and I feel makes things much better. Also, on a round toilet, the seat sits up from the bowl slightly as this bidet is installed between the bowl and the seat

 To preface, I've been to Japan a few times now, where toilet "technology" standards are way higher than ours and years ahead of the US. I don't know why we've not grasped onto this concept of better self hygiene, but anyways. This bidet is no frills, simple and easy to use. This is by far not anything like the toilets in Japan, and nowhere near the cost obviously either

 But for some of us, that might be a really good thing as it's a SUPER simple, basic design. This bidet does not require electricity, which makes things much easier to install as it runs off water pressure, but therefore the water is always cold. It takes some getting used to, but fortunately it washes one of the warmest parts of the body. Despite the cold water, it's totally worth having a clean bottom

 It also has a small splash shield in front of the nozzle that helps keep toilet water or anything else from splashing on the nozzle, which is great. So, because of the minimal design, the water only shoots in one direction. This is ok, but therefore it is better to have an elongated toilet with this bidet as it allows for more room to move your bottom a little bit and get a better wash. I originally installed this on a round toilet and it made things a little more difficult spatially

I never thought I'd be writing a review on a bidet, but here we are...

 Water pressure could peel the barnacles off of a cruise ship, so be careful  Edit: I've been powerwashing my posterior for a year and a half with great results. I don't blow through half a roll of toilet paper in a single sitting anymore, so it has definitely paid for itself many times over, but I've still found the nozzle to be a little too concentrated and turning the knob slightly more than you should could result in what I'm guessing could be considered a low colonic. If you crank the water up and point just the right way, you'll know what I'm talking about. Other than that, I've found that diet plays a role in how functional this can be

 Don't expect 100% the first shot after a night of stromboli rolls or churrascaria, you'll need to have a couple of goes at it with a little spot check in between. My OCD is to the level that, I'm probably the only bidet owner in the world that can still clog his toilet with TP despite having this contraption - strombolis don't help with that either. I've tried models from other brands and their jets seem far less invasive, but for the money, I really can't complain. If this one goes (no pun intended), I'll probably level up to one that doesn't want to rip my skin off

 my recommendation would be to give yourself a quick wipe to knock off the stalactites and stalagmites, power wash your corn hole and then give it a finish pass to get all the drips, drops and anything that may still be lurking under the mountainous terrain of hemorrhoids that have built up over the years. the cold water is rather soothing but if you're a pansy, get a warm water model. Washes your a hole a okay

 If you slide the whole fixture forward away from the edge of the bowl, there is a large plastic overhang above the water jets.  Most plastic toilet seats will bend and press on the overhang causing it to bend backwards and rub on the edge of the bowl.  I had to switch to a solid wood seat that does not flex and will not touch the bidet overhang piece.

Nice and thin. Easy to install and use. The issue I had to deal with is that the edge of my toilet bowl is sloped and not straight vertically. So the bidet fixture had to be moved forward more to allow the water jets space to lower into the bowl without rubbing on the edge of the bowl and not opening or getting stuck
