Not only are the two USB ports and single ungrounded outlet on the top shelf quite convenient, but the lamp itself is more sturdy than other shelf models we tested. This model also accommodates the highest wattage bulb of any we tested, giving you &#40;up to&#41; an impressive 150-watts of lighting for your space. Like the others, this one comes in a pile of pieces that require assembly, but it goes together rather smoothly with fewer exposed corners and edges than similar models. Standing against the far wall or next to your bed, its faux woodgrain finish and large, pleasantly tinged shade look comfortably modern.
This lamp isn't without flaws, though. The useful charging shelf that we find so handy also has painfully garish writing that unnecessarily labels each port. Importantly, with today's smartphones' quick-charging technology, the 2.0 amp USB sockets and 5.0 amp outlet of the Maxwell only offer a trickle of what most smartphones can handle. And, though it includes a few plastic clips for cord management, the charging shelf complicates the whole setup, leaving those clips woefully inadequate to properly hide the cord.  Admittedly, I was leery. However, these were very easy to assemble. Other similar lamps Had a bad review about the shade, but these were really great. Came out nice and square

 I will be buying a couple more four other spaces in my home. Goodbye For the money, we've had no issues. Admittedly, I was leery. However, these were very easy to assemble

 I gave it four stars because of the lightweight material used to build it. It's not wood. I love having the Usb plugs and the slats to hold the phone's ipads tablets. The light brightness is good for the space of my room and the fact that I don't have an overhead ceiling light

 I'm a tech head, so the majority of my gifts are usually innovative, functional and thoughtful tech that solves a problem for the individual receiving it. Trust me, Santa has got nothing on me.  I'm saddened that I'm forced to leave such a low rating and somewhat negative review of this product as a result of something as simple as quality control. Much of my responsibility in my professional career revolves around sourcing and vetting products and vendors, so I am a serious shopper and do my diligence whether I'm negotiating deals or contracts on behalf of clients or spending my own money

  These lamps came up while I was browsing around the site. I had never heard or Brightech or purchased anything from them prior to buying these. I honestly had no intentions of even buying anything for myself, but we all know that rarely works out as planned. However, I read all the reviews, did some background research on the company and felt comfortable enough with the results to give them a shot

Assembly instructions are easy to follow for the average person – BE ADVISED – your #1 priority should be to take inventory of the parts to ensure all the parts are included BEFORE you begin assembly

First things first, does the lamp work? Absolutely. No surprises here. The lamp is as described and as of right now, it functions. Great

Overpriced but functional

 Especially when you have your hands full with other parts. If you are familiar with assembly I would get the gist from the picture of the instructions and just go with your experience. If you aren’t all that experienced with assembly take it one step at a time and try laying everything out in the order it shows then the order of the screws may become a good deal clearer.  Overall I love this little lamp, especially when I decided to flip the base of the screen to give me one more tiny shelf!! The chargers work great and the little built in tray was a nice little surprise so thanks Brightech for that! It saved my stylus too many times from falling to the floor already and I just got it last week!!

While the assembly wasn’t difficult per se (I’v been building and assembling things like this for about twenty years) but the instructions were vague both in text and illustrations on where the different screws went. Also have some small paper cups or something else to divide the various types of screws into as they all come in one pouch instead of already separated out into different pouches, which makes finding the proper one a hassle if you don’t divide them out first

Lovely Little Lamp!

 I also only had 17" of width available due to the closet doors (tiny studio life is all about maximizing space!). This managed to suit all needs perfectly, and even doubles as a bonus lamp. The third shelf (where the chargers are) sits just about 32" off the floor, perfect for me to place a glass of water and a book, and the chargers being at that level makes it super easy for me to plug my phone in overnight (and never accidentally pull the plug out trying to check it during the night/morning if needed!) It was easy to assemble, and while not the highest quality (a tad overpriced maybe), it suits its purpose well, My only real complaint is although it says "ALL WOOD", the shelf with chargers (and my most used) is actually plastic. It would have been nice to have the bulk of the shelf there be wood, even if the pieces immediately surrounding the plugs had to be plastic

Fit a specific need for a narrow, tall nightstand!  Chargers are super convenient.

 Pricey! For what it is this lamp is a bit pricey. If you can get it on sale, do it!  Despite the price I would still recommend this lamp. It's got a nice style and is better built than some similar lamps in Target and elsewhere on Amazon.
