Drop + Hifiman HE4XX

Broken

Pads and cable had to be replaced. 1 screw fell out and was lost, 1/16 Allen key needed if I someday find it.

Great sounding headphone for the price, but headphone will fall apart.

Edifier R2000DB

Inconvenienced

Remote buttons are not well built, two different remotes volume up button wore out so it's difficult to press.

The actual speakers are great, only issue I've had is that I can't change the volume with my tv remote, I have to use the remote that comes with the speakers. This remote has terrible buttons that wear out too quickly and become difficult to use

HiFiMan HE4XX

Inconvenienced

Earpads stitching gave out within one year. The earpad mounting ring system is extremely fiddly to work with, being difficult to replace as the clips need to be popped in without seeing the holes. Replacement rings can be bought from HiFiMan, or 3D printed (although the clips may be prone to snapping). The best solution is to 3D print the "Ear Pad Mounting Adapter," which screws into the earcups and provides a solid surface to simply slide replacement earpads on.
