BOSS DD200 - GREAT DELAY, VERSATILE YET SIMPLE!

The bottom line, the thing just sounds great, it sounds really, really lush and awesome.

I don’t find that I’m using its full potential as a reverbolo, instead favoring its tremolo settings. I will likely end up replacing it with an OBNE Whitecap or a EQD Hummingbird (if I can’t squeeze the Whitecap in). It’s a bummer because it truly is an A+ pedal, and I absolutely love the enclosure, but the size is hard to justify when I’m only using half of what it can do. ***Boss DD-200:*** This is another pedal I’m not currently using to its full potential.

Again, run this one in stereo, set thing a bit more subtly and you have a kind of modulated reverb/delay that can work nice for leads or slightly trippy rhythm parts. Or turn up the Level and S-Time, slow down your playing and let the “drips” bounce around the stereo field. It’s my favorite and I think a very underrated unconventional effect (others include many EQD pedals like the following and also Rainbow Machine etc). It is included on the Boss DD-200, which I may go back to just to save some space on the board.

Think I've squeezed these guys in here as far as they'll go!

Can't beat that BOSS build quality either. Anyway, I use this rig to just jam and make shitty blues and "classic" metal demos. It's nice and compact, fits in my gig bag, and slides under my desk nicely when not in use. I'll probably eventually go crazy with a 20 pedal monster board eventually, but for now finances lend themselves to a more bare-bones approach, haha.

[NPD] Boss DD-200

At first I was, because I had a bunch of sounds for when I needed them. Slowly though I realised that they weren't cutting it. I need a bit more control over them, and I barley used anything but the digital delay. After contemplating which delay to get I landed on the dd-200, and im so happy that I went with it.

Thoughts on Boss DD-200 delay?

As others have said, it depends on what you want from your next delay pedal. I own the DD-200 and really like it. I think it's versatile, sturdy and above all has a lot of fun sounds in it.
