First-time Dashcam User - is the BlackVue DR900X-2CH Plus user friendly?

So for example you run into the supermarket and come back out and someone hit your car and ran. The camera would catch that if it's in the field of view of the camera(s). I have mine hardwired and it did the install my self, it looks a bit intimidating at first, but after watching several youtube videos and digging in, it was pretty straight forward. For accessing videos there is a phone app you can pair with the camera and review the footage.

Not worth the high price

Its a nice camera and installs easily but they want to hook you in to that cloud subscription plan. It seems to me that they have crippled the direct wi-fi a bit.
