 Hoping to find a better product for that purpose. I also don't like that it does not have an ON/OFF button. In order to begin using the product you just plug it in so when you are finished you just unplug it - don't really like pulling the plug out of an outlet with the appliance still on - seen a couple of sparks too. Don't think it would have been hard for them to install a button here

Not impressed for laminate flooring

This product works well, HOWEVER, when I first turned it on, it was standing on my hardwood floor (original hardwood - approx. 50 years old). Within seconds, I saw steam coming from the bottom. I thought "Yeah! Its working!" but when I lifted the mop, I saw it had lifted/bubbled the surface of the floor! I re-read the instructions and NO WHERE does it caution about this

 I have engineered hardwood floor (about 1k sq ft) and on my first use I had to change the water more often since I selected level 3 setting. (From top to bottom on the mop are levels 3,2 &1. With level 3 is the most steam and water applying to the surface.  On my second use I used level two and I realized that I didn’t need to use lever 3 anymore and I only filled the tank twice

 I removed the water tank and noticed the removable cap (how you fill tank) was cracked around the edge (where the flat rubber ring is). How can a 100.00 mop made by a brand name break after SIX MONTHS?! I checked the Bissell website and they want to charge $5.99 for this plastic cap!? SERIOUSLY?! The plastics cost is about TEN CENTS and the spring is likely a THREE CENTS at most

GREAT & safe for sealed hardwood floors

 Unfortunately we broke the handle when the unit tipped over and hit our hardwood floor. We limped along with it glued on for a while, then it broke again. It’s a very “tippy” unit and the handle is not reinforced, so be careful! That being said, we love the unit so we just bought another and plan to be more careful with it.

I am giving it 4 stars only because to me the best way to get your floors clean is scrubbing on your hands and knees! Other than that it works great! Love the scent pod and that it dries so fast. Also love how it disinfects the floors. Would definitely recommend.
