 Because I haven't had quite enough drama in my life in relation to Fishing Line, I decided I needed to try out Berkeley Trillium Sensation. And if you've ever done any investigation on it, you'll know Berkeley was really pretty accurate when they named it Sensation. This stuff causes some pretty sensationalized rants online. Some people love it, others, it's about driving them to drinking

 That did seem to help, and it made it usable so far. But it's difficult to really put all this into words, and I figure it's going to be easier to show y'all exactly what I'm talking about. I mean, how twisted this stuff is, which again, I can appreciate. I'm pretty twisted myself

 Because I haven't had quite enough drama in my life in relation to Fishing Line, I decided I needed to try out Berkeley Trillium Sensation.

 And if you've ever done any investigation on it, you'll know Berkeley was really pretty accurate when they named it Sensation.

 This stuff causes some pretty sensationalized rants online. Some people love it, others, it's about driving them to drinking.

 So, you know, naturally, being the complete and total idiot that I am, I thought, you know, I need to get me some of that.

 I tried it in 4 pound and 8 pound. And I put it on my Stratoc 3000FL, fantastic reel by the way, and my Penn Battle 3 1000s, again, fantastic reels.

 It is difficult to put into words exactly how temperamental this line has been so far.

 This stuff is so kinky, it needs to come with a ball gag or rubber suit and some jumper cables.

 When I was spooling the Stratoc with the 8 pound, I tried flipping the spool back and forth constantly.

 I tried every trick I could think of, and all it really did is it seemed to make the line more angry.

 Which I can appreciate, I'm relatively angry myself most of the time.

 So, it didn't work. I resorted to reeling for maybe 5 to 10 seconds, pinching the line,

 and then stopping and manually rotating the spool to remove as much twist as I could, and then continuing to spool for another 5 to 10 seconds.

 After I did all of that, it was still pretty awful.

 What I ultimately tried doing that seemed to help was I tied on a snap swivel, ran it to one side of my fence,

 and walked out maybe 100 yards of line, and then I slowly walked forward while pinching the line

 and forcing all of the twist out and to rotate the swivel at the other end.

 Yeah, I didn't look like a dork at all doing it. No, I felt perfectly secure.

 That did seem to help, and it made it usable so far.

 But it's difficult to really put all this into words, and I figure it's going to be easier to show y'all exactly what I'm talking about.

 I mean, how twisted this stuff is, which again, I can appreciate. I'm pretty twisted myself.

 So, I think I'm going to show you, I left this last pen empty so I can show on video exactly how much fun it is to install Trilane Sensation 4-pound onto a reel.

 Starting out, I just want to say I hope none of y'all are jealous because of just how fancy my spooling equipment is.

 You know, I've been doing this a long time, and I've really developed some very custom equipment here.

 So, let's try to keep the comments on that to a minimum.

 Starting out, you can see we are pretty unkinked. I'm going to give us a solid PG rating.

 So, we are going to start this process and see how it goes.

 And you can see already we are substantially kinked.

 So, what does the internet tell us to do?

 It says, rotate the spool a little bit this way.

 That will help. All right, let's try that.

 I'm going to say we're pretty solid into R-rated territory, kinky-wise.

 So, that's pretty much the story with this.

 All right, we're told flipping the spool over makes everything instantly better.

 Remember, we have a massive 10 seconds of actually reeling here of adding line.

 I'm pretty sure I just heard it say something about my mom.

 All right, should we give another 10 seconds?

 We did 10 seconds one way. Let's do 10 seconds the other way.

 Yeah, now I know I heard it say something about my mom.

 So, this is 20 seconds of total spooling.

 So, now we get the wonderful time of picking up the spool and trying to untwist this.

 Now, this isn't showing up overly well, but this gives you an idea of how kinked this is still.

 I am still pinching line here, so it only goes down so far.

 Now, what we get to do is slowly spin the spool in effort to take all of this out and get us back into neutral territory.

 I won't make you all sit through this, but this is a good time.

 Okay, so we are now back to relatively uncinked.

 I can't say it's great, but you can see it's pretty much back to the way it was.

 We're told spinning line has to be applied flat, so it didn't work.

 Okay, so now let's attempt to line this the wrong way, and I can hear people screaming in horror already.

 I know my spooling station is really awesome.

 This is a custom job. Not anybody can just walk into the store and buy one.

 This is a super fancy cardboard box that has a 20-pound kettlebell in it and a little dowel across to hold the line.

 And to get extra super fancy, you just run some tape here to adjust how much tension you want on the line.
