I love the design of this projector - you can rotate it within its base. I found the built-in speaker to sound really nice, and the picture quality was really nice as well. But the fan runs loud and that really detracts from the unit - otherwise I would have kept it.

Hi, I owned BenQ GV30 and I use it mostly for movies in a dark room. I can say that in a room with ambient light, the projector is still bright enough. And yes it is battery powered, the projector will automatically lower the brightness when using battery to save the power, the battery can last around 2.5 hours.

It is ok 50/50 Don’t like only one thing about it, you have to keep between you , it doesn’t have an option to crop Corners you have to keep projector by your legs as showing in pictures

Well after few test reviews and YT videos I finally got hit by this one from [pcmag](https://www.pcmag.com/reviews/benq-gv30) and placed my order with 15% off!!. Maybe because I already liked the outlook of GV30, just need a push from other’s endorsement, especially about the audio sound, it seems like there is no need to connect a BT speaker and I can get good sound on the projector…. Also the 15% off on preorder….it kinda release my doubt on the price point….I don’t mind to pay a bit more as long as the brand is well known and my friend did recommend BenQ as a good brand on projector…..bottom line is since I purchased on BenQ site if I don’t like it I can still return it…(hope not!).

It’s a good design in terms of portability. But the 720P is just obsolete! I returned it and bought the Nebula Cosmos 1080 and it is much better!
