Benchmade Nimravus

Good steel. Doesnt hold an edge quite as long as s30v but its way easier to sharpen and cheaper. Really pretty well rounded steel. I used to abuse the shit out of my benchmade nimravus by just throwing it at trees or sticking it in the dirt or whitling aimlessly when i was bored in the field and it goes right back to shaving hair with a few mins on the stone.

I prefer benchmade, but spyderco is great too. I have a benchmade vector and nimravus. For what you described for backpacking I’d prefer my nimravus, but for EDC I’d want the vector if it were legal.
