 You have an in lanyard hole here and quickly, we'll take a look at it with the original super freak and here i'll point out some of the differences. The blade obviously is uncoated and you've got a nice stonewashed finish on there. You'Ve got a different style handle and an uncoated axis lock bar the handle on the mini super freak is solid: carbon fiber versus the layer. G10

 You'Re, getting a similar amount of cutting edge really only losing a little bit there at the back. A bit more belly on the mini freak as well thinner, blade, stock tip is again going to be a bit more robust. Handle thickness is about the same on these two functional grip area is actually pretty close, just a little shorter there, but a lot longer in the handle and then of course, again. You'Ve got another choil versus no choil knife design here

 You can see. You'Ve got the partial, stainless steel liners on both thinner on the sage 5 lightweight, but it also has flat scales versus the contoured of the mini-freak. Here, the cutting edge length is very close to the same with a shorter blade length, thanks to the lack of choil blade. Stock thickness is a bit thinner, but the high saber grind leaves a fairly robust point out at the tip and then the functional grip area

 That'S going to carry well and offer a lot of performance in a compact package, and here you can see the knife in my pocket. The stainless steel pocket clip provides secure, carry and smooth draw from the pocket, especially paired with the smooth carbon fiber handle scales. It does put some knife above the line of the pocket, but the dark, scales and clip are generally discreet. The knife carries very well thanks to the lightweight and compact size and deploys fast and smooth on phosphor bronze washers via the ambidextrous thumb studs, and offers a left or right hand user-friendly platform thanks to the ambidextrous, lock deployment and pocket clip again

Came across this Yamaha RX-V565 and it’s accompanying 7 speakers, sub and two rear stands on Facebook marketplace all for $100 AUD. I feel this is a good deal but what are your thoughts? My max budget was $400. 

I’m extremely new to the idea of having a proper set up so I’m quite pleased with the find. I do believe this is an older model receiver but I think it’ll still be more than enough to give a good listening experience.

They’ll be set up with a TV/ Xbox set up in a rectangular carpeted room so I’m hoping this will allow me to get the most out of them. Any tips with set up definitely won’t go astray though. Thanks

I am pretty sure I had a 565 about ten years ago. It was a solid system, I used it to drive a 7.1 system including some pretty sizable Yamaha floor standing speakers. For $100 it seams decent, although I am not sure what value you will get from the small speakers. 

Having said all that, compatibility matters, and I am pretty sure it doesn’t support ARC so your video might be limited to 1080p if you want full surround.

From memory using the optical out on my tv meant I would only get pro logic, although not sure how much this was to blame on the TV. 

TLDR: for $100 seems fine, but you are getting a $100 system.

Handy knife -superb quality

I have only a couple of knives and saw some interesting ones in this sub reddit. Out of curiosity I came here to look around and see what some of the pretty scales were in the pictures. I expected some pricey stuff and y’all did not disappoint, but in the process I began to feel like crap. I have a Kershaw Rainbow Leek from back in the day, 2 Benchmades (Mini Grip &amp; Bugout), and as it has scales made from a local stone &amp; mammoth bone a Sante Fe Stoneworks. But that’s just one to look at. All I see here is endless streams of shitting on Benchmade. 

So I guess the question is what brands actually earn respect around here? Especially for an EDC you actually use for more than opening a box? This is a real question as I’ve been wanting to step up to the next level for a bit now. I just don’t know what that is.

So apparently I came to this sub to feel like crap

46 dollars more than MSRP

Wanted to get a blade left 6 1/2"circ saw as a bday gift for dad.  Afaik dewalt offers 2 6.5" blade left saws:  391 (Brushed), 565 (Brushless).

Was wanting to get the 565 because it does slightly worse than the 391 while being 50% more efficient.  However, since it's a gift, I wanted to pick it up in person so that it remains a surprise, and I can't seem to find it anywhere local.  It's on Amazon and Wiseline, but there's no wiseline store near me.

Is it relatively new or is there a dark secret about it?  Why can't I even find it on HD Canada's website, online only?

Looking at a used set of Maytag, models med5820two and mvwc565fw1. They are asking $800 which includes a six month warranty from the store and all of the cables and stuff.

Any opinions on this washer and dryer?

 I find this difficult to accept and is a huge flaw on an otherwise great knife. They could replace the blade but I wouldn’t get the first edition marking. I guess I live with the flaw bot that it matters much but it is noticeable. At least the centering and sharpness are really good

 I was lucky to get a first edition except the butterfly logo on the blade is a bit crooked. I took pictures and sent it to Benchmade who responded that some variation in the orientation of their blade logo is normal. I find this difficult to accept and is a huge flaw on an otherwise great knife. They could replace the blade but I wouldn’t get the first edition marking
