 -Ring around timer knob (where the time scale is printed) is chromed, making it nearly impossible to see the timer setting. -Manual mechanical timer. -Bell when done can't be heard in another room. -No low water alarm

IT LEAKS!!

Havent used it much yet but my main complaints so far are the timer is impossible to read. I will eventually mark the 15 30 and 45 min marks with some fingernail polish or something so they show up in normal lighting. Second the layers only seem to go one way so you cant swap them out. The first tier has to stay on the bottom and cant be swapped to the top to adjust the timing of whats being steamed

 When I unplugged the steamer, the timer was still ticking because the time had not run out. I will be returning it. I did find a Hamilton Beach Digital one on Walmart.com

I really wanted this to work, however, the bottom collects minerals/seasonings and burn.
