PSB M4U 8 wanted similar sound with Bluetooth. Beats solo pro wanted something that was seamless with Apple for on the go. Apple AirPod max wanted good sound on the go with anc over ear in apple ecosystem.

These beats we’re mediocre. The sound sounded maybe as good as my AirPods. They were pretty uncomfortable also. The one thing they were good at was how fast they paired to my devices. They were also built very well. In the end I returned since what I was looking for was good sound quality

- Beats Solo PRO- I listen to a lot of pop and hip hop with these. The headphone follows the harman target pretty close, and i like the bass response of that for certain types of music.

They were the best of the classic Beats headphones (Solo, Studio, Mixr, Pro).
