Beware: DC Motor in my unit was wired backwards. Once fixed, it works amazingly well
I ordered this item and received it in a timely manner. The specific reason I ordered this model and brand, was that a previous coffee grinder (another brand), died - mainly because grinds kept getting stuck in the chute... This grinder, has no "chute" - the grinds pouring directly into a container ...

If you're shopping for the best espresso grinder to complement your home espresso machine, the Baratza Sette 270 will not disappoint. I hope everyone is doing well today...i am looking for an espresso machine and grinder for my mobile/market coffee shop. I have been looking at a couple of grinders and the one that interests me the most is the Baratza Sette 270. For the espresso machine, I have been looking at the Profitec pro 600, Breville Dual Boiler BES920XL, Rancilio Silvia Pro Espresso Machine, LUCCA A53 Mini Espresso Machine by La Spaziale. As of right now, I'm leaning towards the Profitec pro 600, Rancilio pro, and the Lucca A53.
Great espresso grinder. Easy to repair.
My old Starbucks Barista grinder finally died, so I did my research and settled on the Baratza Sette 270. The results were excellent. Very fast, no waste and a very fine espresso grind. And so I enjoyed great shots every day for a year and a half (made with my Rancilio Silvia, which I love). And the...
Worth the money!
The media could not be loaded. After watching many different reviews and how to video’s I chose this grinder as my home coffee bar addition. To be fair, I watched a lot of video’s from Whole Latte Love on YouTube on the why’s to buy this unit. Buying a good grinder is absolutely key to making espres...
Inconsistent Grind Weight
Ok, so I bought this new at the same time as my new Gaggia Classic Pro -- the two seem to go hand-in-hand.
But even though I'm using the same coffee (Lavazza Super Creme Whole Bean), grind settings (I installed the shim, btw), and time (6.6secs) - it always comes out with different weights each tim...
Baratza Eventually Got It Right
I have had a Sette 270 for about 5 years. I would say the previous reviews are fair comment, in that the Sette 270 does some things well, but also has some flaws. I would add that Baratza does provide great service - which was important for the Sette 270, because it seems their first couple of years...
I purchased a Profitec Pro
I purchased a Profitec Pro 300 and Baratza 270 for installation into my sailboat. I have to say I am not much of an online shopper but after a few weeks of trying to source a machine locally in San Diego with no luck. I found Clive Coffee online. One of the best customer experiences I have had bar n...
The Magnificent Seven: Baratza Sette 270Wi Review 2022
Ultimately, the Baratza Sette 270Wi has only one drawback — its price.
Baratza Sette 270 Review: Grind Tests
And there's a lot to like with the new set a 270 from Barossa Now it's scheduled to be available early summer of 2016 in this timer model and the 270 W version which grinds by weight. Now we'll have a lot more in the weeks ahead with a 270, including side-by-side brewing tests where he put the settee up against some high-end prosumer level grinders, so be sure to watch for those in the meantime.
