I'm really more concerned about the dark spots on my face and that's more epidermis, right? And so me growing up in Hawaii, I have dealt with hyperpigmentation and lentigines or sun freckles, after acne, like I have a little pimple on my nose here. We're definitely normalized pimples here on the channel

 So cleanse your face, apply your lightweight vitamin C serum, then a moisturizer and then a sunscreen. At bedtime, you can cleanse your face, moisturize and a retinoid or retinoid and then moisturizer. And that's how I do it. Vitamin C, think about orange juice with your breakfast, do your vitamin C serum in the morning because it will really give you nice benefits

 It can get deactivated very easily in the skin and it's very pH sensitive. And so there are all these different formulations and you might see different vitamin C derivatives to increase stability. A lot of the times though, for me at least, I wanna work on dark spots and that's just epidermis, your top layer of skin. There are some studies of more stable vitamin C derivatives that can go deeper into the skin towards the dermis and increase collagen production

 So vitamin C, very fragile like we talked about. Ascorbic acid is the common ingredient or active ingredient of vitamin C. You might see on the packaging for your vitamin C serums. I've talked about CeraVe's vitamin C serum before in the past, this is a great affordable option

What’s the best Vitamin C you have tried?

this vit C serum "might" be a great product, but its packaged in a bottle with a dropper as the method of delivery---so its not "air tight," like some products are. Pump bottles for instance. So, who knows if this is a great product, as it started to discolor within a month of using it, as it was exposed to the air every time i took off the cap and inserted the dropper into it. so, i purchased vit C packaged in an opaque bottle, with a pump dispenser

 So if you are wanting to plump up some fine lines and you have acne prone skin and you're not concerned about lightening, pigmentation or dark spots then this would be the right one for you. Or if you have just super sensitive reactive skin and you cannot tolerate ascorbic acid in its direct form then this is a great gentle product. It's a way for you to use Vitamin C and get some of the benefits without any of the negative side effects. The last one I want to talk about is one of my favourites and this gives me really really great results

 Which prior to the application of this product was a gentle gel cleanser and rose witch hazel, I followed it with rosehip seed oil as usual and then my collagen day/night moisturizer by loreal (in the winter I use this instead of Olay 7effects daily). My skin wouldn’t absorb the moisturizer anymore. It would be covered with a layer of grease and tingle and feel irritated in areas I would soon break out. I know you want to say it is the rosehip but that simply isn’t true, as I said it’s what I normally use in the order I use it

 I’m light to medium so it will scar for a while due to the darker undertones in my skin, but my skin has no texture to it whatsoever or any lasting pigmentation after the acne scar has healed, which could take a couple of months. Which is the only reason I have adopted the rosehip seed oil into my routine, and thought vitamin C could help as well to speed up the process of removing those dark acne spots. Otherwise, my skin is damn near perfect! I can’t imagine how this would be on sensitive skin or acne prone skin. Just be mindful, patch test in an area you are acne prone or during a time you can stand a break out

 I also recently started using a derma roller (also bought on amazon) with this and literally the next day I’m shocked at how even and toned my skin looks.  I subtracted 1 star because even though the product is effective I’m really not a fan of the texture. The serum is sticky which makes it hard to apply and I usually have to wash my hands after because they are also sticky. When I apply the serum I usually have to do it with a night moisturizer or another oil, and sometimes the extra oil makes me have a white head or two the next morning

Love!! I’ve tried a ton of vitamin C serums and I never really noticed any kind of difference with them but I had come across this one on a medical blog. I have a thyroid problem that makes me have really bad hormonal cystic break outs and it recommend trying this to help prevent break out and fade scars/dark spots.  I noticed a HUGE difference after one night of using this!! I wish I would have taken pictures but I didn’t expect it to work so well. I told all my friends to go buy it too

I have dry and sensitive skin but have tried 5% vit C before and have never tried retinol products yet but would want to start.

4 starts because it seems to be identical to Skinceuticals, but minus 1 star because it has a high pH.  Supposedly, vitamin C must be below a 4 pH in order to be absorbed into the skin. Skinceuticals claims a 3.5, however, I tested the pH of both Skinceuticals and Dr

5%, Panthenol, Triethanolamine”  Skinceuticals Ingredients: “aqua / water / eau, ethoxydiglycol, ascorbic acid, glycerin, propylene glycol, laureth-23, phenoxyethanol, tocopherol, triethanolamine, ferulic acid, panthenol, sodium hyaluronate”
