XFC vs Sapphire vs PowerColor

I've had the Strix 6800XT since they launched and it's fantastic and also have a Strix 3080Ti which is also awesome awnd has the best pcb behind the hall of fame cards. Powercolor had some issues with the RX 5000 series too if I remember correctly, I believe it was the Red Dragon or something, one of the fans wouldn't spin, I forget the specifics but it ran hot.

Thing is way too overpriced.

God I love the Strix line of GPUs. Love my 1080ti and it's been going strong for over 4 years, but I can't see why anyone would buy this GPU unless you have extra money. It is a GREAT card, but unfortunately way too pricey for me to justify it. It is GREAT for gaming tho.

Air Cooled VS Water Cooled

The bigger issue I see is the GPU and its cooling fans. The top-end RTX 3000 cards put out a lot of heat and the fans have a lot cut out for them to keep things cool. This is hard to do in today’s GPU market, but do a search of quiet GPU models and see if you can get one of them (ASUS Strix and TUF, MSI Gaming X or Suprim, a few others).

Read Carefully

For this particular listing the card is used. Upon receiving the cards box was pretty beat up but the card itself still had cellophane on it. Ran benchmarks and seems not to be a miners old card. Time will tell. I pressed buy now too quickly to realize card was used.

At the end of the day, availability and budget would play a huge role though. RTX 3080:. * Asus Strix OC.

Runs hot with lower OC

This is my second 3080 TI OC and it runs a lot hotter than my Zotac. I also cannot overclock it as much because of the temperature. It was about $200 more expensive even when I lucked out and got it at MSRP. I am not sure which will have better long-term quality, but for short term I would look else...

So, if you really want a gaming laptop but have missed out on other deals up to this, get this. It's a good gaming laptop. The screen isn't bad, the keyboard isn't bad, the specs aren't bad, the GPU is powerful, the processor is powerful, it has nice storage and upgrade ability.
