Arc'teryx Fortrez Hoody

Um, you know it is comparable to a covert, but it is really nice and warm and I you know I really do like these.

My Fortrez Hoody (shameless plug, size Small, 3x used) it's for sale because it has long arms and length overall.

Give the Fortrez Hoody a look. It’s face fabric would shed the occasional fire spit MUCH better and breathe well enough as a mid. As an added bonus, the built in baclava could come in handy if the wind shifts the camp smoke your way. Not sure it’s approved for fumes, but hey, if you apply some DWR, it might just repel more than water and Covid.

After owning this jacket for a year, its a fantastic piece. I primarily use it hiking and climbing, it sheds light precip and wind pretty well too. Kyanite LT & fortrez hoody get the most use. Used to be the atom lt but I hardly wear it as I prefer the fleeces on the day to day. Next piece will be proton LT.

Fortrez Hoody, it’s my go to if I need a wind resistant fleece that can serve as both a mid and outer layer. In addition to being warm, it’s very comfortable with a bit of stretch.

So pockets, hood, face mask, sleeves all good.......but no drawstring on waist and way too lightweight to be considered a mid-weight fleece. I have base layers that are the same weight.Below is a photo of how much light come through it from my computer screen.

I found the sleeves to be too tight and "clingy" to get over a merino wool base layer. Also, the construction quality created some questions for me.
