Squid Ink may look like a midnight blue on your computer screen, but it is totally purple, and the worst kind of purple I have ever seen. Not Barney, not red wine, and certainly not squid ink. Its the ugliest, most indescribable purple you've ever seen.

If you need something waterproof and breathable this is the way to go. It was incredibly light and easy to pack. I love this coat.

I like the over color and the fit of the jacket is spot on. It has a good texture without feeling bulky but still provides good warmth. This jacket with an shirt underneath will keep you warm to about 20 degrees outside in heavy wind and rain. I would get the alpha jacket gen 2 if you needed perhaps...
