Apica CD Notebook Review — The Pen Addict
I've done a few notebook reviews in the past several weeks, so don't take it lightly when I say that this is one of the best value notebooks available today. The Apica CD11 A5 notebook has quickly flown up the ranks in my mind of notebook ratings. Let's take a look at my reasons for such an opiniona...

Cheaper alternative to Moleskine with similar quality
Apica CD is the way to go for inexpensive, high quality notebooks. I use their A5 offering regularly. The paper quality is ridiculous and they are under $5/each. You'll lose the hardcover but get something so vastly superior to Moleskine it's crazy.
Notebook Review: Apica CD Notebook
Review by Laura Cameron
When I went on my shopping spree on JetPens last month I also picked up a couple of Apica CD Notebooks ($1.75 each) to try out.
I chose the Apica CD11 A5 notebook in Light Blue and Black (which in person appears slightly more grey).
These great notebooks have cardstock cov...

Supreme
This notebook is just perfection for a fountain pen enthusiast. The paper in this notebook rivals the legendary smoothness of Clairefontaine 90 gsm paper which is considered the benchmark for quality notebook papers. It is even smoother and more consistent. I was definitely not expecting to find thi...

A5 softcover journals that are fountain pen friendly?
I also like the Apica Premium CD A5 notebook. The paper in it is good, although I noticed some surface coating issues every 6-10 pages that made my inks go crazy.

Excellent daily driver
I use this notebook as my daily work notebook/journal. Excellent paper, feels very smooth and doesn't show ink through the back (I use a plain ballpoint pen). Opens fully flat at almosy any page because it uses a lot of small blocks of leaves. The only pages that don't easily open fully are those be...

GET IT. NO GHOSTING. NO BLEED THROUGH WITH FOUNTAIN PENS!
Excellent paper. Fountain pen friendly! Even bold point dark ink too. I wished it weren't lined. I prefer dot grid.

Official response from Tomoegawa regarding the Tomoe River situation.
Feels far too flimsy for me. But then again living in Japan, I'm spoiled for choice. Already been through Tomoe River, Midori MD, Apica CD, all the classics and am currently enjoying a Life Noble.
A must for someone who loves a great writing surface
Notebook is lovely to the point that I resent writing on anything else.
