I just wanted to share a recent purchase that has really helped us out. We get frequent ‘short’ power outages regularly. Yesterday’s was about 6 hrs. Sometimes it’s just an hour. Longest was 9 hours. I bought an uninterruptible battery specifically to power our internet box (I don’t know how to explain tech things lol). It cost $180, plugs into the wall, and then into our internet box thingy. It stores enough power to keep our WIFI running for at least 12hrs. If I’m on my laptop, I can just keep working whenever the power goes out… so it’s make a huge difference in my life. It also keeps our kid’s iPads up and running so they are happy too lol. Something to check out if you’re trying to cover yourself for short power outages without spending too much.

.. all well within the capabilities of the UPS. They warn against a laser printer, but I don't have one, I have an inkjet 

  Again, for now, I would hold off buying this hardware until they have resolved the problem. 15 May 2022.

  Bottom line, right now, until APC figures out what the problem is and fixes it ... either with the batteries or with the UPS or possibly both, I can't recommend buying this hardware

 I have returned it. I know APC is a great brand so I don't understand why this is an issue.

One that's in-stock, nothing fancy, just good quality and reputation, and one that could last at least 10 minutes should I experience an unexpected power outage so I can safely switch it off.

What's a decent UPS for a 650W PC?

 Continue to be impressed with these units. Did have a power glitch the other day and my 65" Sony picture almost went out but not quite B4 the APC switched to battery. Also, these units and some other APC UPS units have a silence button that you can press for a few seconds during start up so that when the power glitches or goes out completely in the middle of the night, there will be no beeping to wake you up. (Update: this feature does not work on at least one of my 3 units

 Have not had any issues since my hard reset.  I would buy this unit again. The hang probably needs a firmware patch but has only occurred once and easy enough to remedy. I have the version 2 of this UPS model

 Powered up let it run diagnostics then shut down. Removed from mains power then reconnected battery and hooked everything back up. Have not had any issues since my hard reset.  I would buy this unit again
