Anker 622 owner here. It definitely gets warm quickly. Compared to the Apple one, it charges at 7.5w instead of 5w (when using wirelessly as a magnetically-attached power bank). I've never had concern about it getting too hot, but I'd say the power bank heats up significantly within 10-15 minutes of charging.

I can either leave the pack on 24/7, or just quick charge my iPhone for 10-20 minutes when I need it. Looked at the Anker 622 and ended up with the same conclusion of I’d rather just plug it into an external battery for 10-20 minutes to quick charge instead of leaving the battery attached for 40-60 minutes to get the same charge. I think the Anker gets just as hot as a Apple MagSafe charger if it’s just charging.
