 The parts are what I would definitely call more budget-oriented. When you have an MATX motherboard, a MATX B450 motherboard, a DRAM-less 500 gig SSD Azure-only storage, the AMD Wraith stock cooler, and fairly budget case and fans, and it's relatively loud, not distractingly, but certainly louder than some of the other systems that I've checked out. And I would also mention that the motherboard doesn't have any heat sinks on its VRMs, which means that dropping in something like the higher-end 142 watt chips, like the 5800X or higher, likely won't be your best option in terms of future upgrades. So do keep that in mind

 So the only upgrades that you'd be able to do are chips that are currently available, currently out in the market, which don't get me wrong. Going from, say, a 4500 or 5500 to a 5800X, 5900X, especially if you're doing more productivity work, will be a fairly significant performance advantage for you. And even in games, you should see at least a little bit, but you're not gonna get any new chips for this platform. So just keep that in mind

 While 230 FPS is still perfectly, perfectly fine, even the 3600X can muster almost 100 FPS more, and the bigger brother 5600X nets well over double the performance, hell, even almost double the 1% low performance as well. Cyberpunk shows a much tighter spread, especially for the average performance, with the 3600X and 4500 functionally tied. Then, around a 10 FPS gap to the rest of the pack, the main standout here, though, is the 1% low figure on the 4500, which is the lowest in the whole group, the whole test, by about 5 FPS, meaning, while the same average FPS might be the same for the 3600 and 4500, you're likely going to have a less ideal, a bit of a choppier, a less smooth experience and more prone to dips and hitching on the 4500 instead. It's definitely well built

Can something better be made with the current tech? Can even Nvidia do something?

The Ryzen 4000 series are superior in performance (specially multi-core). Even Ryzen 5 4500u beats many i7s due to higher IPC and base clocks. The new Zen2 (4000 series) architecture based CPUs are based on 7nm lithography and usually consumes less power than Intel ones which are still on 14nm (since 2013).

I've had experiences with Intel laptops and desktops. They seem to run smoothly for 3-4 years (Acer laptop with Intel i5 processor) and for 6-7 years (Custom-made desktop with Intel i7 processor) before they start to slow down. 

I have no experience with AMD Ryzen laptops. Are they more future-proofed than Intel laptops or are they just the same, performance-wise and durability-wise? I do video editing and design work sometimes. Which laptop does a great job for video editing and other design work? AMD Ryzen laptops or Intel laptops?

I'm still contemplating whether I should make the switch to AMD or stay with Intel. I'd appreciate any advice. Thank you. 😊
