Amazon Fire 7 Kids Edition

I don't want to spend any money on DVD players because it's not 2002 anymore, it seems like I need some tablets now. We've had the Amazon Fire 7 Kids edition. The bumper case is the only positive part of the device - the ecosystem is strangling, the resolution is terrible and the device is wicked slow and too small for ABC Mouse. I don't want to fight with my device to put movies on an SD card for VLC or watch YouTube Kids.

While the price jump for the Kids Edition in both the 7-inch and 8-inch Fires may seem steep just to add a padded case, extra warranty, more internal storage and a one-year content service subscription, it'll feel like an absolute bargain the first time junior slams the screen against the corner of a coffee table. As much as I dislike using the Fire tablets for my own entertainment or work, I do like the Kids editions for my kids. Unlike an iPad, the Kids Plus software allows me to easily restrict the content available to them to age-appropriate levels. I don’t have to worry about in-app purchases or ads for scammy games popping up
