The Snow Peak Titanium Spork has the desired versatility of a spork but handles like your typical utensil, providing top-notch comfort alongside quality construction. This model's design makes it easy to forget you are using an oddly shaped piece of silverware, allowing you to enjoy your meal whether on the trail or during a workday lunch. The utensil's bowl and tines have an ergonomic feel and perform well as a multi-utensil. Whether scooping, stirring, spreading, cutting, or stabbing, this model is easy to clean, extremely durable, and holds up to regular use, as titanium resists scratches. 
We think the many pros outweigh messy fingers, but this model does quite literally come up short when trying to reach the bottom of a dehydrated food bag or JetBoil backpacking stove. Additionally, its small bowl size also makes it a mediocre soup spoon. However, for most meals, this competitor shines and will keep you happy for many adventures to come. After digging into your first meal, it's easy to see why the Snow Peak Titanium takes the cake.

The Kai Pure Komachi 2 is a solid budget option. It comes with a protective sheath, and its coated stainless steel blade and plastic handle are both super easy to clean. For those who prioritize durability over aesthetics, this is a great choice. Our testers found that it was reasonably comfortable and sharp enough out of the box, and the high clearance of the handle protects knuckles from contacting the cutting board.   
We don't have a whole lot to knock about this blade. Our primary observation is that it is all-around average, and that might just be what you need. The materials look and feel inexpensive, and it doesn't have the same gravitas as the other full-size top contenders. In the end, you get what you pay for, and what you pay for is a reliable slicer that is easy to maintain.

Just shy of the top spot, the Cuisinart 15 Piece Stainless Steel performs all slicing, dicing, paring, and mincing tasks admirably. We love the comfort and balance offered by the hollow stainless steel rounded handles that transition seamlessly into the stamped blades. These blades lend precision for cutting paper-thin onion slices or mincing minuscule pieces of garlic. The bird's beak paring knife is a nice bonus included in this set and is perfect for peeling and slicing apples right in your hand. We were also impressed with this set's hot-forged steak knives. Though their performance didn't outshine any other steak knives in our test, we imagine their construction will keep them sharper in the long term.
On the downside, bread bakers will scoff at the serrated knife. With just a 5.5-inch blade, this model is clearly not cut out for slicing crusty sourdoughs. However, the sharp teeth effortlessly bite into a soft tomato for perfect slices. The kitchen shears were somewhat disappointing, especially considering the high-quality feel and performance of the rest of the Cuisinart set. Complaints aside, we feel the quality, durability, and the number of knives included mean you get more for your money.
