 Now I suppose it's possible that there is interference from other towers between those and me or possibly even that the signal is too strong, but what I do know is that I only get one out of four local news channels with this thing right now.  I'll put a pad in it and try some other things, but for now, I am only marginally impressed with this.   Not really. According to my scan, I get about 32 channels over the air (OTA). Buuuuuuuut, I really only get a few of those and maybe a few more when it's clear. Most of the transmitters are less than 10 miles away!  Out of the box, just put the sticky tape on it and slap it on the window or sliding glass door. It comes with exactly the right amount of coax cable to reach where I have my unit ( I think it's about 10') plus, there is an extra 3' jumper to put between the amplifier and the receiver if you are using it. Perfect.  What's even nicer is there's a nice app you can download that shows exactly where the transmitter towers are in your area! This is fantastic

Antenna Theory is Deep (with UPDATE)

Tried it out in a downstairs location of a 2-story home. Signal reception was good, but the adhesive kept coming loose. Part of the design problem is that the plastic base of the receiver is much thicker than the antenna at the end where the adhesive strip attaches. That resulted in weight stress to the antenna and it falling down enough times I decided to return it

 This alternative was also cheaper than the Eclipse since I paid for one home antenna vice 1 of the Eclipse's per room. I would say that the Eclipse (or similar model) is a good solution for an apartment/dorm/patio/garage/rental, but maybe not inside your home. If you (and your mortgage company) own a home, look into something where you won't have to see wires or deal with fickle sticky strips.

Bought this to replace an old amplified rabbit ear antenna. Not any better, flat on a wall it would not pick anything. Moving away from walls it did better but no better than old unit I was using. Really depends a lot on terrain and location

While I've not noticed a functional difference in this rectangular ClearStream FLEX amplified grip indoor antenna over my previous two round ClearStream amplified grip indoor purchases. Did not disappoint!

 I found that it was very tricky to find a spot it worked well, mostly because I have a home with stone and stucco and a metal roof with radiant barrier. All things the instructions said it did not work well with. It needed to be in my front door to work well, it did not work well in my attic nor behind my tv. I could not find a spot that it could get all the major networks at once

This thing really worked to pick up a lot of channels...As many as 60 in the right spot
