 They are 3 times the price but I have friends that have been using them on rivers for over 10 years and they still are in great condition. I know that the military uses these extensively and that they pass the Navy's test for dryness. My photographer buddy trust these bags even over pelican boxes for his expensive camera stuff.  I've found that the combo of two Colorado Watershed bags is the perfect size to hold all of my personal gear for 1-3 week long river trips. I thought about getting the Mississippi size bag, but I'm glad I went with 2 Colorado sized bags instead because (1) easier to carry, and (2) easier to fit in rafts and vehicles.

 Compared to my hiking pack, it's really sleek and slides into the overhead compartment of a plane or train without hip belts and buckles dangling everywhere. It's a bit tall in one dimension for carry on, but easily passes when underfilled.

This is mostly for non-airplane trips (yeah covid still sucks).

Me and my wife usually travel with one bag each (round about the 40L each).
But besides that we have our nice EDC bags that can also carry laptops, water bottles and little stuff that we like to have for walking around during the day.
We got a car last year and we are doing more and more road trips as the uncertainty of flying keeps going. And with that we just end up all the time with 4 backpacks plus some extra stuff just because on the car there are no restrictions. But every time that we make a stop the road trip on a hotel or so, then we have to fiddle with multiple bags and that is just now working for our once practical
One-bag travel.
An idea now would be to get a big duffle where we through all our clothes and we just carry our smaller EDC bags. 
Anyone had a similar experience? 
We were considering maybe a 60L duffel and the toiletries/laptop and tech kit would
go to the backpack. Or would be too tight? 
We were thinking as two 40L backpacks have always lost space, one bigger duffel would have similar capacity. Or something bigger is necessary?

TL:DR converting from two 40L backpacks into a duffel bag. Is 60L enough? Or is bigger necessary? Or is it just stupid?

I will try to combine some of the advice and experiences on the next trips until we get a working method for us. (Or just convince my wife to scale down on the amount of stuff eventually)</p>

One big duffel vs two one bag travel backpacks ( for two people)

  8. YOOOO the smoke grey looks badass and clean. They did tone down the Osprey branding on the bag which was a nice touch  CONS: (in no particular order)  1. they did away with the extra weather flaps over the zippers

  When i purchased the 65L, i was totally excited and was like F YEAH! another Osprey bag to add to the collection.  Let's start with the good (in no particular order)  PROs:  1. Materials are top notch! these bags are meant to be tossed around in the back of the truck or just in overall gear hauling  2. The handles! I love that there are 4 grab handles which make carrying the bag WAY MORE COMFORTABLE than a traditional duffel bag carry

 Now from personal experience all you have to do is pack the bag about 80% and then wear it as a backpack and you'll be able to get through security and flight attendants most likely and I've done it twice going through Mexico and here all of your use on Amazon where people have used it as a carry on through Europe and other countries around the world. Now on to the third category and that is the quality right so it's well padded it's not one of those flimsy duffel bags that rips easily it's also made from nylon and it's water and abrasion resistant. As quality zippers it kind of has everything you need for a great bag it also has buckles that keeps things locked up and also has compression straps on the inside to lock everything in. Now our fourth category is that it's easy to handle it has two beefy handles on the side wait a minute actually has four handles so I guess you could carry it in every direction in any case it's great for carrying and then it has a shoulder strap on the side now it also has the backpack strap so you could carry it as a backpack or you could also use the shoulder strap that carries a duffel bag

 But also I want you to have enough space in the bag for shorts and hiking shoes so the next day you can go hike in a mountain and I don't know have a near-death experience. Now this is all possible with the Osprey 65 liter transporter. The Best TRAVEL BACKPACK of 2021 | Osprey 65 Transporter

 What is up ladies and gentlemen? So today I want to share with you my favorite purchase of 2021

 and that is a travel backpack slash duffel bag. Now I've been traveling for the last five plus

 years and I've been on the lookout for that perfect bag that meets all my needs and I think I finally

 found it so let's get into it. The bag is the Osprey 65 liter transporter and it kills it in

 four categories. One, it's good size, it can fit all your central needs. Two, it's good for carry-on.

 Three, it is great quality and four, it is easy to handle and carry. So let's get into the details.

 Now for the first category, the size. Now it can hold about 65 liters, it weighs about 3.1 pounds

 and dimensions are 23.6 by 14.2 by 12.6 inches. Now this means that it comfortably can fit 10 plus

 days of clothes, hoodie, extra pair of sneakers, resistance and workout bands, frisbee with room

 to spare for some electronics and even more stuff. Now this is ideal whether you do a short weekend

 trip or even like multi-month excursion to I don't know South America, Asia, wherever you want to go.

 Now the other thing I love about this bag is the full clamshell opening. As you can see it's very

 easy to open and close so it's great if you're in a move and also it's the side pockets on the side

 so if you want to put some accessories or things like that it's great for that as well. Now this

 brings me to my second category and that it's the bag is good for carrying on. Now you may say Andre

 I thought the carrying size requirements are like 22 by 14 by 9 inches and you know what you may be

 right but the point is not to follow all the stupid rules. If you're to follow those maybe you could

 fill like three t-shirts, some underwear and maybe a laptop. The point is to pass the security check

 and those noisy flight attendants and I got you covered there. I want you, me and everybody else

 in this world to pass through the airport without checking our bags but also have enough clothes

 that I don't know if you need the love of your life one night and then you go on a beautiful

 date you have something nice to wear. But also I want you to have enough space in the bag for
