 So if you nose hook this, that fish has to grab this whole bait. Now it's halfway down, down the base of the bait. And when he grabs that, you're not going to have that issue of, you know, the short strikes nearly as much. Anytime I can get away with a straight shank hook, especially Texas rigging saw plastics, that's what I'm going to do

 And what that's doing is it's basically just shaking there with that hook and staying inside that brush pile and it looks so natural because you don't have a weight, you don't have everything else out there. It's just basically almost just a single, you know, a single little worm just dangling in a brush pile, a foot off the bottom, you know, your angle is going to be a little bit different right there, but shaking that thing right there, you know, if that fish is sitting in that brush pile, he can't stand, you know, that worm being six inches off the bottom looking so natural, just like a minnow.
