And when he grabs that, you're not going to have that issue of, you know, the short strikes nearly as much. Anytime I can get away with a straight shank hook, especially Texas rigging saw plastics, that's what I'm going to do

 And what that's doing is it's basically just shaking there with that hook and staying inside that brush pile and it looks so natural because you don't have a weight, you don't have everything else out there. It's just basically almost just a single, you know, a single little worm just dangling in a brush pile, a foot off the bottom, you know, your angle is going to be a little bit different right there, but shaking that thing right there, you know, if that fish is sitting in that brush pile, he can't stand, you know, that worm being six inches off the bottom looking so natural, just like a minnow. And when you're doing this and working that bait, make sure that that weight's on the bottom, you know, cause that's really where you're going to be able to really shake that worm. You want to keep in contact with what's going on, whether that's above the brush pile, whether that's around some rock, you know, you're really, when you shake it, when that bait's on the bottom, that's when you're going to have a lot more action in it

 This VMC Neko hook is literally on everyone's spinning rod around the country, especially

 And the reason for that is there's no skin hooking, there's no guesswork.

 When you set the hook, you know you've probably got this fish in the top of the mouth or hooked
