Doesn't work as well as I hoped.

 However, it is bulky to pack if you are packing light, and it is not made for small people. I am 5', and my proportions were to small for this to fit comfortably. I am sure that if you are average to large it would be a wonderful travel pillow. This is why I gave it a 3 in some categories

This product is not for kids or small adults.

 This has happened the last two times I used it on transatlantic flights, so it's not just a one-off. I tried to maneuver the pillow so the foam part was under my chin, however it doesn't twist left to right much since the back piece is flattened to fit against the seat - the design is great, I just need a soft connection between the foam pieces.  For reference, I have a wide and short neck, I'm not a skinny dude, so you may have a skinny neck and be very comfortable. I cannot quite connect both foam cushioned sides around the front of my neck which leaves the velcro exposed against my skin

But on our recent Boston-Bangkok round trip, I found that the special flattened design of the back of the Travelrest pillow solved the latter discomfort. And, after stuffing the pillow down into its volume-reducing sack, I was able to carry not only it, but also a serious eye-mask and several other small travel amenities all in a small second stuff sack that was half the size of a conventional neck-pillow alone.  I'm petite, so it seemed like it was too large, the velcro piece worked but there was a large gap even when tightened all the way. However, I was still able to nap comfortable on the right and left side (no front support) without waking up with neck pain. Definitely the best neck pillow I have used, but could be improved by possibly having different sizes to choose from and making it in a way that doesn't make your neck feel like it's wearing a winter coat! My husband had no complaints and was also able to nap in the car.

Great product and could be even better with some slight adjustments

 From blow up ones, to sky malls one which is not comfortable, to every bean and corn filled one ever made. This is the best and can't wait to use it just wish they had better quality control to catch the not sewing of them.

 If I wasn't leaving on a trip I would have returned it for a replacement. The pillow it's self is wonderful, most comfortable fitting head rest pillow I have ever seen and I have a whole shelf of them, not even kidding I must have at least 20 of them. It fits great, the only problem was where the two Velcro pieces meet to over lap the not strap side was about 1/3 of the way either unsew or wasn't secured well when sewn. I was very disappointed as I wanted to use it on a trip I am taking in 2 days. Fortunately I have a sewing machine and I was able to take the memory foam part out and reattached the loose Velcro piece. Wasn't thrilled I had to fix something I hadn't even used yet

 If not, then not even a higher quality one like this will be worth the price. I've had it on long plane trips but it just tends to get more in the way than be helpful, for me anyway.  I originally gave it 3 stars but that wasn't too fair because for a neck pillow, it is a nice material and is soft but firm somehow at the same time. So it's a tool that doesn't work too well for me, but a good one

Just average really, why? It's just a neck pillow, so the product itself isn't too impressive. I haven't found that it helps me to sleep or relax but I've never been a fan of neck pillows anyway. I was hoping that I just had the wrong ones but apparently not.  If you have had moderate comfort with neck pillows in the past, then you will likely love this neck pillow

A good example of an ineffective product

 As other reviewers have mentioned, the stuff sack is worthless and should be replaced with a better quality one for the price of this pillow. Stuff sack doesn't match the quality of the pillow at all, and obviously will rip out if not re-stitched. This pillow is a bit more expensive than some others which are also comfortable, but none have the back of the neck detail that is making this my favorite.

 It also wraps around to the front in a great way, creating a snug and supportive all around pillow. The edges are a little high on the sides, so the bottom of my ears are tucked into the foam. If you wear big earrings or have otherwise sensitive ears, this might not be the best for you. The pillow is very well constructed, has a soft and yummy cover in a rich blue velour

We tried several and found this to be the best in terms of density, fit, and comfort. Several of the neck-rests in memory foam have a big wad of foam at the back of the neck which is nice if you are leaning way back or laying flat. For tilt position, such as in the airplane seat, the foam can be a bit much in the rear. This neck pillow solved that problem by creating an alternate design which reduces bulk in the back of the neck
