The North Face Shellista IV Mid vs Kamik Momentum 3 - Women's

They were a little snug with regular socks, but would be much too tight with thick socks. I ordered these for cold morning walks and the occasional ski trip or ice storm. We don't usually get much snow, but it does get cold and I walk my kids to school most days. I don't know if all snow boots feel like ski boots, but I was hoping these would be more comfortable than my last pair of snow boots

Okay, so I didn't have to wait very long at all for delivery, they arrived within 3 days. The boots are pretty comfy, warm and have great cushioning all around! I love the adjustable pull string in the front, it makes sliding the boots on and off a cinch, as well as adjusting how snug you prefer to wear the boots throughout, is a much appreciated bonus! Not having to mess around with taking off gloves to tie up a bunch of wet laces is awesome! On the downside they do not favour well on ice, as I've had a few close calls within in the first two weeks of wearing them; another downside is that I wished that I had chosen a taller boot as snow can get awfully deep where I'm from, so I've had a couple days where my pant legs have gotten wet, they only go about 1/3 up my calf, bit if you live somewhere where the snow doesn't get all that deep, these would be perfect! Ultimately I would still recommend these boots to anyone, I'd just let them know about these two downsides.

Suffice to say they run a bit small. They’re a super attractive boot but there’s a design flaw that gives you a giant cankle. In between the rubber that cups your foot and the top end where the laces start, there’s a strip of fabric that shouldn’t be there. It would’ve been better to extend the rubber edge further up the side of the boot and done away with that fabric strip altogether

I have a hard time finding boots/shoes to fit my feet due to an old injury and wide feet. I really wanted to keep these as I liked the style and the height of the boot. I ordered a 10 (I usually wear a 9.5 wide) and these were wide enough and fit well with one pair of thick socks
