It sounds like the type of riding you'll be doing puts you in the full suspension category. The stumpjumper has always been a great platform.

I am liking the look of two bikes, the Marin San Quentin 3 and the Specialized Stumpjumper Alloy. But I am not sure which one to go for, as both bikes are great.

Can't Decide Against Hardtail vs Full-Sus...

 I will say however my santa cruz had it all over the evil on paint finish, and frame finishing.

I am trying to decide between some bikes with a lifetime frame warranty. I've found an Evil Offering GX build, and a Santa Cruz Bronson C S MX build. Would love a hightower, but can't find one right now. I've heard that the offering is super playful, but seems like most people agree SC's customer service is hard to beat. Just looking to get some opinions from people that have owned some of these.

 The rockshox recon fork, the x-fusion rear shock, and the SX drivetrain will be limiting factors on that bike. Or, if you like the Stumpjumper, kick in another 600 and get the Stumpjumper Comp alloy for 3600.

My first full sus was a 2020 Stumpjumper Alloy ST 29er. I progressed past the limitations of those components before the end of the first season I owned it. [applause] What's up guys? I've been riding the Yeti Sp 130 lunch ride for the last week. I used to own this bike. Love this bike. Uh, I only sold it because due to the nature of the youtube channel I'm always going through different bikes for for me to get a lot of time on a bike

 I've got a Fox 36 Grip 2 damper on here. Love that fork. So good! One of the things I love about this bike is the harder you push on this bike, the more the more you just give it the beans. the better it gets

Yeti SB130 LR Long Term Review

 You know what do you think of suspension component balance front to rear like it's a 150 millimeter fork in this case 36 with a fit for damper 150ml up front 130 and back. Does that seem appropriate for what this boy? It's funny because you know a lot of the times you would think with that much difference in travel to in front rear like it'd feel unbalanced or something. But it feels fitting because I think this particular one 30ml bike feels like more travel. When you combine that with the aggressive geometry the SP 130 has, you really get a bike that feels fast and capable beyond what the travel number suggests

 like it's not an it's not a little noodle er though like it's a you know it's one of my favorite long travel bites here. That's also what I'm finding is happening across the board too. There's all these really good suspensions now and these really progressive geometries and where maybe a couple years ago I would have wanted a 150 or 160 wheel travel bike. I'm really happy now with the 130 will Travel bike and what it can do

 it was so efficient at pedaling that I didn't think it was gonna like descend as well as it actually did. I mean it's like it's it's a supple suspension. It's like I feel like it's a very advanced feeling suspension where you can give it a ton of gas. It just kind of floats over everything

 a very small detail but again when you're looking at bikes like this, it's all about the small details Yeti put water bottle bosses inside the triangle which again you can tell this is it's a Colorado company. We have so many two to three hour rides very close to us and you can get away with having a water bottle on you and one in the bike and that's it's. a small detail that I would appreciate on almost every single ride. Yeah, it's nice to get the monkey off your back a little bit
